In his defense, the dude does appear to be from Paris, but yeah, I had a similar reaction. Dude isn't taking it from a "French" perspective against Ubisoft, that's for darned sure.

Anyone else shocked by this claim? I'm sure as hell not. Anyone who dissents against free speech is going to see exhibition of such as a threat. They don't seem to get that it's "Free Speech" (full stop), not "Free Speech So Long As It's Ideologically In Line With Our Beliefs". They don't want to stop hate speech. If they did. they'd drag it out into the light and actually debate it. They just want to shut down any avenue that doesn't listen and believe their rhetoric.

People should of consider this: The left should do the same. Every time i see video of a small town BLM rally in a conservative area, MAGAts go insane. They Pull guns, harass, beat.

Leave the cities and go do BLM rallies in trump country! Let the MAGAts lose their shit on video.

We have cars too. BLM car parade time through rural oregon!

(Our friends in Rogue River for instance got absolutely intimidated and harassed by racists when they tried to hold a rally.)

Especially when you consider this history.

The bit about "this history" was some libtard on Twatter claiming that the Nazis would hold rallies and start fights, then claim that they were the ones that could save the people from the violence.

Honestly, I think they seem to forget that the Right has cameras, too, and will be more than happy to film these morons coming into town and starting shit before they start drawing fire from the local gun club.

Yeah, the coward deleted it and is now apologizing all over himself. Guess his publicist saw the tweet, shat down their leg, and screamed at him. Too bad for him that the Internet never forgets - and I know I won't be buying any games he does voice-work for in the future.

Well, shit. I was really looking forward to checking out that show, but hadn't heard anything about it yet. Guess I can now save myself several hours on watching it.

You're not alone. I live in BFE in the red part of the state so the chances of there being a libtard uprising over the usual recent reasons is pretty low, but right about now I'm wishing I had some sort of firepower in-house to protect myself, just in case.

GamerGate: Living rent-fucking-free in John Walker Flynt's head for six years and counting. Doesn't (s)he have some moon rocks to go defend against?

Nobody ever said the LARPers were the brightest bulbs in the box. Common sense would tell you that you don't go walking through a boxed-in area when your opponent is on the other end of it, but these people fail at common sense.

Man, when I saw that 2-plus minute first trailer, I was like "holy shit, they went full redpill on it". Then they cut it down, then they cut it down again. Can't have anything even remotely anti-Communist in our game about the Cold War, I guess.

Honestly, if it wasn't for B_Volleyball over there, HalfKIA would have died a long time ago.

Honestly, Squirrel Girl was kinda fun for everyone who was down with the in-joke nature of the character before the Wokeness Brigade got their mitts on her. If you look back at her original appearances (ignoring the Steve Ditko horror-show version of her), they had her set up to be the cute, plucky, sidekick type with a gag power and the meta-joke of her being able to use that to beat anyone because you're not so tough when a squirrel runs up your pants leg and bites you in the nuts. Unfortunately, the SJW clique got their hooks into her and turned her into the fat, buck-toothed, wokeness mouthpiece she exists as now, ruining all the fun.

TechParadox 6 points ago +6 / -0

Half of her lines were cringeworthy reactions to doing things or meeting people. She acts like a teenage girl near her crush whenever anything happens and it's honestly painful, but I was expecting her to be full "future is female" cult material.

Kamala's shtick is more of a "ZOMG I'M SUCH A SUPERHERO FANGIRL AND MY FAVORITE HERO GAVE ME HER NAME!!!" thing. She's an Inhuman who was blessed by Carl Manvers herself with the "Ms. Marvel" name once she got smacked with the Terrigen mists and got her powers. Her comic book character is just about as awful as it sounds, because it's either fangirl SQUEE'ing, her pulling a Mr. Fantastic-style ripoff of changing her body's size and shape to fight street-level crime, or being a mouthpiece for whatever SJW writer du jour is handling the book, with added bonus of the character being a teenage Muslim girl.

Given that, I'm not surprised that the majority of her lines were total cringe.

Ironheart would be Patient #4 (or maybe #5 if you backtrack and count Squirrel Girl's transition to wokeness as the #1 and shift everyone forward), and her origin is a complete shit-show. "She's a black teenager that's smarter than Tony Stark!" Yeah, if that were the case then why'd she have to steal Tony's armor designs to build her suit?

As evidenced in STL. Ghawd forbid you protect your own property and be on the wrong side of the aisle, politically.

It's never too late to start learning something new, on your own time, or try and parlay a hobby into a side hustle. I've given serious thought to taking classes in locksmithing or learning how to do 3D-modeling as a side gig.

Back when I was in high school, for whatever reason, my entire class took the ASVAB test. They never really told us why or gave us the option to opt out of it (which was probably illegal), and most of us just thought it was part of a standardized high school vocational aptitude test that everyone took. We had no clue it was a test for pre-entry to the armed services. I did pretty decent in most of the sections and had recruiters ringing our phone off the hook for a couple months after that, before they finally all got the clue that they needed to piss off and I wasn't signing up for anything.

Hindsight being 20/20, I probably could have gotten into a decent position in the air force or army and made a career out of that, but this was also around the same time as things were winding down for the Gulf War, so chances were good I probably would have been shipped overseas, and I don't know how cool I would have been with that.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the waves the Chanposter is noticing started decades back. Hell, I saw it myself when I was trying to get into college 25 years ago. Scholarships left and right for women, minorities, people from lower-income strata, and athletes. If you were a white male from a middle-class family who probably couldn't pay to help your tuition? "Get fucked, take out loans" was the effective answer we were given.

If I had it all to do over again, I'd probably have said "fuck it" and went into a decent trade, like electrical or HVAC work, and did the self-employed/contractor thing. I would have had a hell of a lot less debt and probably would be living easy by now instead of wondering how the hell I'm going to retire before I hit age 70.

Considering the majority of black people in the US live in urban areas, I'd say there's not much of a skew on geography. You don't exactly see a lot of black families living in rural Illinois, but you'll damn sure see a lot of gang shootings every weekend in Chicago (a supposed gun-free zone, mind you).

What'd he do? Rode helm on the pile of revisionist horse shit that Berman and Braga tried to foist off on to fans as an "early years" version of Star Trek, for the most part. Sadly, the best things about that show were seeing Scott Bakula chewing the scenery and the bonus of Jolene Blaylock in her Vulcan catsuits.

I bought the book a while back on Amazon because it was a Kindle deal of the day. Read the first chapter and it was about what I expected in the first several pages - Jim Crow South, white people being assholes to the black protagonist, racism in the North, and a lot of scorn heaped on the white sci-fi authors of the 40s and 50s. While indicative of the times and the troubles black people faced, it's not a huge jump to figure that HBO turned it into woke garbage. I'll be finishing the book, but I won't be watching the adaptation, even ironically.

Based Shatner is based. I love how the dude gives zero fucks on Twitter. I seem to recall him tweeting a while back that he actually shitposts on 4chan. I hope when I'm damn near 90 I have half the mental agility he still has.

Target did not comment specifically about the manager but said it was an issue of miscommunication.

I'd love to know what sort of "miscommunication" led to the point of "We don't want you here for your fundraiser, you have to leave now" coming from the store manager.

According to Mayor Stewart, the regional Target manager has also donated $500 to the cause.

Emphasis mine on that. The "regional manager". Not the local manager, nor was there an apology from the local manager, but instead the person who oversees a block of stores made a token donation. Nice attempt at saving face, there, Target.

These people honestly don't know what the hell they want beyond "give us shit we didn't work for or pay for because we waaaaant it". They're the very definition of entitled, spoiled brats that don't want to have to deal with reality. Yeah, the white people in the neighborhood bought the property from the black people at a low price because that's all it was worth at the time. If there had been improvements to the area, they would have had to pay more or not been able to buy it at all. But there weren't. So then the white people sink money into it, improve the area, and now the entitled masses are back whining that they want it back. Tough shit. The law is on the side of the owners.

For fantasy-based stuff I'd usually point people at OSRIC or other OSR variants of D&D retro-clones. Most are unabashedly based on 1st edition D&D and AD&D and intended for people that want to play as such.

EDIT: It's also worth noting that I regularly check up on the Bundle of Holding deal page as they frequently sell packs of older rule sets in bundles for prices that are a steal. Granted, it's all PDFs, but you can also tie that to your DriveThruRPG account and get official copies stashed there as well as on your BoH account. You have to be willing to pull the trigger, though, because once they run a bundle on a game you likely won't see it again for several years.

SJWs always double down. Doesn't matter how bad they're going to come out in the end, they'll always pull back and increase their lies or attempts at wokeness to try and make themselves or the people they're trying to be offended on behalf of out to be the victims.
