Yeah, the white people in the neighborhood bought the property from the black people at a low price because that's all it was worth at the time. If there had been improvements to the area, they would have had to pay more or not been able to buy it at all. But there weren't. So then the white people sink money into it, improve the area, and now the entitled masses are back whining that they want it back. Tough shit. The law is on the side of the owners.
Meanwhile the blacks that own the homes and hold out for a few years make out like bandits. A house that they usually inherited which was probably only worth 250k 10 years before could be 3 or 4 times that. But somehow they're still mad.
