Every institution will be made queer.

Every institution will be de-constructed.

Until the enemy cannot even think about the most innocuous matter, without being confronted by our struggle.

The release date is late next year, and they haven't revealed or leaked any actual game play yet.

Right now, my expectations are that it takes all the worst elements of Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, Star Citizen, and X4.

Spaceships that handle like paper planes, auto aim lasers firing at bullet sponge enemies, long travel sequences filled with trash mob random encounters and RNG loot stashes to pad out the journey, copy-pasted station interiors and walking in stations for ''immersion'', and FPS gunplay that would have been dismissed as mediocre a decade ago.

And don't forget all the usual design-by-committee, hastily half-implemented features, that every game must have these days, like survival, crafting, base building, and endless radiant missions.

I enjoyed and logged a solid 300 hours in modded Fallout 4 (plis no bulli), and hell, even if they copy pasted that exact same standard of game play into a space setting and didn't even add in actual spaceship travel, I'd still enjoy it.

But the way things have gone the past 3~5 years, I won't hold my breath.

His articles are pretty interesting, and offer a refreshing new perspective compared to the usual views from both the left and the right.

Even when I don't agree with his takes, or I don't understand the topic too well, I can tell by his commentary that he knows what he is talking about.

Too many characters and places that I either actively hated (and not in a good way) or don't give a shit about, on top of prose that is like sucking cement through a straw.

That's me, bailing out after book #2, and ignoring everything subsequent to that.

It's the radical feminists, and the Cultural Marxists, and the charlatans pushing Critical Race Theory, and the hucksters pedaling Intersectional Black Feminism, and the sexual degenerates using LGB* as a motte and bailey to prey upon kids (yes, I resorted to 'Won't someone think of the kids', alas).

So, tell us, where do you get the energy to be right all the time?

I really liked Ubik. Definitely my favourite of his works.

Do Androids Dream and Minority Report were great.

Personally I wasn't a big fan of A Scanner Darkly, and I really could not get into Valis.

Man in the High Castle and Flow My Tears were okay, but I probably wouldn't re-read them.

This was the first thing that came to mind for me as well.

How come she didn't get the "usual" ginger treatment?

These people next week: "We need to mandate that people are obliged to view our every word, and applaud enthusiastically, or else."

I think that one of the big drivers of this issue is the mainstreaming of the postmodernist idea of anti-realism. The whole idea of "lived experiences", objective reality is a tool of oppression used to subjugate minorities, critical * theory, etc.

There are so many people today who don't care about what is objectively true. They are not interested in attempting to make sense of the world. They operate entirely on emotion and feeling, and they use this as a substitute for "thinking".

All they seek is agreement — they don't care about who is (actually, objectively) right or wrong, or if you're mistaken, or misinformed, or just misunderstood. All they care about is whether or not you agree with them or not.

And if you don't, you are The Enemy.

That makes a lot sense, thanks. I can just hope that enough people realise the danger it poses, instead of being content to be frogs boiling in a pot.

Good article. I appreciate how Lindsay is able to take the convoluted double speak of the woke, and translate it into normal English for the rest of us.

And I'm in agreement with his premise: the woke are not going to calm down and back off in the scenario that Trump is no longer in power — they'll see his concession as a victory, one which will spur them on to double down even harder.

Re: the CRT Executive Order,

If they want to (or will) overturn that executive order, which is it that they support: race or sex stereotyping, race or sex scapegoating, believing that merit is racist, racial or sex discrimination, or that America itself is racist or evil? (...)

These questions must be put to as many officials in this administration, including Biden and Harris themselves, and many officials in other institutions and organizations, as widely and as often as possible.

I disagree with him on this point.

If we've learnt anything over the past years, it is that these sorts of questions which attempt to guide people into self-awareness of their mistakes, tend to not work on the people who need it the most. Cognitive dissonance and all that. And being politicians, I'd imagine they're even more well versed than the average person of deflecting these sort of criticisms.

I'm checking the numbers from Steam Charts, they could very well be higher in-game: https://steamcharts.com/app/1222730

Maybe if we're lucky they'll eventually add modding support and/or a campaign/level editor. The fan base would jump at the opportunity to recreate all the X-Wing vs TIE Fighter era single-player campaigns for them.

Even if you put aside SW Squadron's woke pandering for a second, have you seen the player count?

It's been out for less than a month, and they're already down to 1000~2500 players online. Which, for a pubbie matchmaking game, sounds like the death spiral of long queue times, newbies getting stomped by die-hard fans, and orders from marketing to implement desperate moves to gain new players at the risk of the existing player base.

And when CP77 comes out, you can just imagine how those numbers will look in a month from now.

It makes me sad, because I love the spaceship dog-fighting genre. I fear that when smaller studios see that even EA's budget and SW's brand combined cannot guarantee you a financial success, they'll choose less risky genres to work on instead.

Hyper Light Drifter was great!

I never managed to finish it though - sadly my reflexes are not as good as they once were.

It should not be illegal for people to have stupid ideas, because then most of the population would be in jail.

I've tried pointing this out (alas, without the facts) to people, only to be called a conspiracy theorist, etc.

Hindsight is 20/20, but it was almost a given that the death rate would drop over time.

In February, we were caught by surprise, and had no idea what the most effective techniques and treatments were for helping infected people. We now have the benefit of 8 months of experience — it would be an educated guess to assume we'd figure out how to treat it faster than it would mutate into a deadlier variant.

Secondly, the most susceptible and at risk would have been infected and recovered (or passed away) first. It would be unreasonable to look at the statistics as some sort of flat constant graph.

For those who don't know what happened here, Darren was subject to a police investigation because someone he was interviewing had racist opinions.

Let that sink in.

Imagine being arrested because someone else who you are talking to has inappropriate opinions.

Money is definitely an issue. You'll see that many of the people standing up to this can only do so because they have "Fuck You Money".

The average Joe in the street is not going to stand up if he knows that a mob of people from around the entire globe will spitefully channel their passion and anger to have him fired, made unemployable, divorced, separated from his children, and divorced.

But, even if we lived in a society where money was not a crucial factor in being able to live a decent life, these people would still do their best to ostracise dissidents. Even if you pose no direct threat to them, you will need to be dealt with to set an example to the rest. Family, friends and colleagues will not want to be associated with you, because they know the far-left's stance on Guilt by Association.

They might not be able to ruin you financially, but they would still hold the power to do so socially.

And they have such an entrenched belief that they are on the right side of history, that I believe they would not be above using violence to further their aims, as they know full well that the legal system, the government, mainstream media, big corps, and social media are all on their side.
