This is actually kind of funny. The two trolls are fighting each other.

I remember I was dating a woman once and she started talking up about her sister's boyfriend and the work he does, how her sister is so lucky and (rolls her eyes while saying this) "she always has a new boyfriend as soon as she gets out of a relationship". I realized she was comparing me to the boyfriends of the women she was jealous of, including her sister. I later ended that relationship.

I honestly think face is the most important factor, for both men and women. Regardless of body type, an ugly face can really kill someone's ranking. But still, if you're fat then losing weight is worth it just for the health benefits alone. Packing on muscle is probably overrated. A lot of the guys I see women go for have handsome faces, are tall, and skinny. They're usually not noticeably muscular.

But the media tells me that getting body modding surgery makes you stunning and brave.

They always try to defend this kind of stuff with the cliche, "it's fictional. You didn't have a problem with time travel and all that other sci-fi stuff, but you have a problem with this?". The difference is that time travel doesn't have some on-the-nose political agenda behind it. I can definitely forgive a game for being historically inaccurate but it's insulting to act like this was a perfectly innocent decision.

Wow, that ghostarchive one is impressive.

I've heard some men have gone so far as to have surgery to install longer shins.

In her case her kids were spaced out over the course of about 20 years, so some of them were already over 18, but not all of them.

Yes, agreed. I've seen the online tradthot grift has gotten popular, but the women I was referring to aren't online influencers. They're stay-at-home Christian mothers, so there isn't an audience for them to virtue signal to, except their husbands.

One of the women that I know was married to her husband for several decades before deciding to divorce him. Took the kids and half his money, and immediately got re-married to another man. Divorce rape is very much real.

you really have no understanding of women and it is quite sad to see. you don't really "know" any women.

What? I know women often get their conservative views from their dad or their husband, but the women I was referring to are as conservative as women get. My point is that even the stay-at-home Christian mother on a farm ends up getting influenced by her city-dwelling liberal daughter due to them spending time together.

Yes, completely mask off.

we do not tolerate anti-social behaviour or behaviour that is disrespectful to women.

I always think it's funny how they need to specify the target of the bad behavior, like that should matter. They really couldn't have just said, "we don't tolerate disrespectful behaviour against anyone"?

Sadly, even conservative women are often tricked by the appeals of feminism. It's like a gateway drug for them. I've noticed lately that some of the more traditional and conservative women that I know have been getting influenced by liberal friends and family, and I increasingly hear them use feminist rhetoric during conversations.

I don't think I would say conservative women are usually tomboys...but I assume by "tomboys" you're probably referring to a type of woman that rejects the pettiness that often occurs in female cliques.

Here's a fun little exercise. Try reading this article but replace every instance of the word "men" with "immigrants".

Perhaps, given the clear and consistent evidence that aggressive and anti-social behaviour is heightened when [immigrants] congregate in groups, authorities should be looking at ways to curtail this?

Of course it won’t address the sickening number of [immigrants] who murder women at a rate of more than one per week in this country, or the alarming rate of sexual assaults.

rather than staying silent or worse, crying #notall[immigrants], I’m hard-pressed to think of a reason why this lack of personal freedom should be our burden to carry instead of theirs.

I thought Sinfest was just a feminist who became a TERF. Besides being anti-Israel and LGBT, has he actually supported any conservative positions?

Yep, shows a 2 day ban in the logs. Technically, the logs show the ban was for rule 2, and links to the comic strip post, but the comic strip post itself was removed for rule 16. So maybe he's saying it was both rule 16 and rule 2?

I don't doubt that. If Dom had simply said "not all jews are like that" or "some people take 'noticing' too far and advocate for racial genocide, which is not ok", then his comment wouldn't have been as controversial.

But instead he accused ModsAreAIDS of wanting to personally murder him, and the only context leading up to that is the user pointed out that people are punished for noticing patterns.

Then he banned btbw simply for posting an extremely mild comic strip. I think you'd be hard pressed to argue that that comic was really deserving of a rule 16 ban.

Judging by the comments, I'd say he definitely got a bit emotional there. Of course people get in arguments on here all the time, but it is worrying to see that his personal biases appear to be influencing his modding. If he is, in fact, jewish, then that would make sense for him to be biased I suppose, but a moderator should ideally try to be impartial. After all, I thought the whole spirit of Gamergate was supposed to be calling people out for this type of behavior.

I take it you're dual booting? Though I'm by no means an expert, I would recommend testing out Linux installs on a spare laptop if you can. Dual boot can bring some of its own issues that you wouldn't encounter otherwise, particularly with boot loaders, file system types and permissions.

If you haven't already, I would recommend having a full image backup for Windows before attempting any new installs. On my laptop I used macrium reflect to backup Windows, then installed Linux Mint, and then used Clonezilla to backup the Linux install, and then I tested out restoring copies of each OS on there. Then, once I felt pretty confident with that, I backed up my desktop and set up dual boot on there, but I believe I did have to fiddle with a few settings while doing that.

I haven't tried out Windows 11 yet. Are they making people upgrade? I haven't gotten any prompt for it on my machine yet.

Damn. I've noticed there was a pattern with the types of posts Dom removed, but this might be my first time seeing him go on a paranoid rant like this. It's like he's just openly admitting that he takes these comments personally and that this isn't really about enforcing site rules.

Stagecoach 19 points ago +20 / -1

Did he really just accuse you of wanting to kill him and his family? Is there any sort of context leading up to this? Why would he assume that?

When Helldivers 2 was released it wasn't required that you connect a PSN account to it. So a lot of people bought it through Steam, and then Sony decided later on to make PSN a requirement. PSN isn't available in a lot of countries, so people who had already put time into the game in those countries are now unable to play. Steam is offering refunds for the game because of this, but people are still pretty upset and have bombed the game with bad reviews.
