Just goes to show, you don't touch a gangsta's side piece. And I'm not talking about their gun. "Someone went to the Bronx, fucked around, found out, news never because that ain't news".

Ah, so the reason vampires can't enter private domiciles is the right angles of a square house scaring them away!

So significant, so important, than Trump laid low for 4 years of absolute presidential power, not daring to do anything close to that, for fear that the Left would find out his masterfully stealthy plan.

There was three layers of acceptance to it, too, to help it along:

First, in Fate/Stay, you don't learn Saber's identity until like 5 hours into the game. You're invested, that's like a full season worth of an anime, and that's in Saber's story-focused arc (and mandatory first arc). You learn to love "Saber", and then "Saber" simply gains a second name. There is no attempted theft or coattail-riding of an IP's protagonist. This buys a LOT of goodwill.

Second, multiverse theory is multiverse fact: There IS a male version. You meet him a couple times in the expanded universe. Saber isn't erasing the male hero-king, she's just another iteration.

And third, Saber does suffer narrative penalty for being R63'd: Iskander disrespects her for slacking in personal strength, Gilgamesh tries to own her (both in-character for their heroic eras of the past with women). One of her masters literally never spoke to her except to use command spells, because she was supposed to be male in-universe too.

Surprising no one, a franchise that went with sweet-baby-style initiatives wound up losing a significant amount of projected earnings. Or in short, go woke, go broke.

She wants truly disposable males: Use them once as she sees fit, then give 'em the death penalty for following her orders.

I believe in the real-life example where they were literally giving away Detroit houses, the obligations were that you needed to maintain the property to a "reasonable" level, and that you needed to pay property tax on the value of the property based on the assessment PRIOR to the free giveaway assessment.

These obligations, alongside the penalty of being directly in downtown detroit, made it so bad that even homeless people wouldn't sign on.

I watch anime on 1.5x speed, generally. For my reading speed with subtitles, that just flows a bit better for me to read, admire the scene, new dialogue as a loop.

If it's a good anime that actually has things going on while people talk, I bring it down to 1x speed, gotta pay respects, and gotta watch the show actively while I read the show.

If it's trash isekai that I'm just watching to burn time, I will put it as high as 2x speed.

But note the qualifier there. I'm not some impatient zoomer with no attention span... Trash isekai. The worse the quality, the less my attention for it.

It is a messaging issue, though! The fact they're constantly messaging that men are evil incarnate, unchangeable demons redeemable only through subjugation and extermination, doesn't quite mesh with the voterbase desire of male audiences.

"You're a beta male, Sonic." is all I hear when I read your headline.

Not really. Satan can be defeated with a simple "get thee behind me, Satan". A couple mean words sends him scurrying, like a raccoon or a skunk, or other scavenging rodent. He might be good at his job, but he too is simultaneously a master evil manipulator and powerhouse, but easily thwarted with minimal effort (just have faith).

When God is omni-potent, His opposition will always be... limited, and thus infinitely smaller and weaker.

I think you've fallen for a begging-the-question type fallacy. She's upper-class indian and brown-jamaican-slave-owning-family french-Canadian, she ain't black.

You're not allowed to lie to an equally-devout Islamist, but as per Taqiyya, you may lie (among other sins) in order to harm, hinder, or unsettle any non-Islamist you encounter if you feel the need or desire to.

Cue the horror movie where everyone is running away, and one guy adjusts his glasses, and notes "technically, because they're going for the abdomen first, and moving at a mid-jog pace, these are ghasts, not zomb- AURGH!"

I prefer it to be realistic. Zombies are slow and shambling because moving tears muscle fibers, and as a dead body, those don't heal themselves. They can only move fast a couple times before falling apart. Which, for a virus/bacteria/mushroom/parasite zombie plague, would make sense for a lunge to reproduce by infecting another host.

So in other words, I like the super slow shambling zombies, that can, once or twice, move very fast, but then fall to pieces, no long chases, you dodge and you're good from that one forever after.

The biggest misstep here is how did we not know about this? They're quietly put up on some side auction site? In a proper auction, hell, even in some charity auction at a nerd convention, they'd turn a tidy profit offloading these one or two at a time (for the charity auction, you'd claim that amount as charitable donations on the tax returns).

The only thing a dog would feel upon seeing 12-foot-long bones is mild confusion. They're far more scent-based than vision-based. There's that famous clip of a person in a giant horror monster costume, questioning their dog, "does this not frighten you? Are you not concerned?" as the dog is just staring at what they can smell to be their owner apparently in some weird outfit, just chilling.

If you want a real bop, Ya Boy Kongming's OP, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNn9NxZH2Vo "Chitty chitty ban ban", is super catchey for a semi-recent piece. It's more pop-rock than punk-rock, but still a solid song.

For a bit older, Tenjou Tenge's OP "Bomb a Head" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4TXnn5OD-0 always brings a smile to me.

And for a curveball, Eden Of The East's Western release lost the use of Oasis as a band for their OP, so they got generic jpop in the west, and western rock in the East, which is a shame because it actually works really well, IMO. Lyrics fit the anime's theme, and message. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49cDxJPH3k8

EDs are trickier, I don't often watch them. So... Dango Daikazoku, from Clannad. Because it's cute, calming, and effective as an ED.
