If I were black I think I’d go nuts. To me it seems like Hollywood is currently incapable of making movies with black actors without making it some sort of lesson about racism. (with a few exceptions)

Well, Women live longer, even if adjust for less risk taking. They are less susceptible to a number of diseases. It possibly has something to do with the importance of grandmothering (it’s much easier to handle children if grandma is still around)

I think Scotland shows many of the same signs I see in other countries of Europe, where certain populations have historically felt slighted by the “big boys” in the capital city. Such populations often turn hard left, have commie tendencies, and try to always side with what they consider “marginalized” people. In today’s political atmosphere that means being hyper woke.

I have a theory that virtue signaling, even if completely meaningless and contradictory, is today’s white powdered wig. It’s a way for people to show off how superior they are compared to the common pedestrian masses.

Couple of things: -COVID isn’t that dangerous for healthy people. Many of us have had it without even noticing -We can’t “get through this together”. It will never end. We have to learn to live with the virus. I am willing to bet on it. To this day only one virus has been eradicated, and that was an unusual special case
