Thanks for the link!

Since all wasps are native to Asia, the name Asian giant hornet does not convey unique information about the biology or behavior of the species, according to the ESA.

“All wasps are native to Asia” not sure if this is a misunderstanding, lie, typo, or what, but it is plainly wrong.

Link? Anyway, there’s still a hint in the scientific name Vespa mandarinia……for the time being.

That’s seeing too much of them. I favor the even older method of letting them sink slowly into a deep bog.

He is most known for sci fi, but the Norse stuff is great, and the Broken Sword an often overlooked gem. I think I noticed some parts of Game of Thrones series being inspired by it (didn’t read the books though, just saw the show).

I could never get into the Elric books. But for a classic, and very different “saga-like” fantasy book try “The Broken Sword” by Poul Anderson. That guy knew more about Norse myth than almost anyone.

Oh man, I love it! 😄 Sadly the only rifle I have is a Hawken-style muzzle loader.

If we go after the Chinese war criminals, the trials would go on forever.

Somehow, the people who are currently perpetuating the old hatred (and have been for decades without any British help) are blameless little children.

I don’t know if people generally have a clear idea of an ideal society, but here’s one ideal that I want to sink in: I don’t bother people when they’re doing their thing, as long as it’s legal, so don’t bother me when I do my thing.

Somehow I don’t think they would send the kid to give tip if this was an actual female stripper. It’s as if the political agenda trumps everything else.

Want to lose even more sanity? Look up “Bella Blue trans” and see what you find on this….person.

The Jeeews! The waaahmenz! WTF is wrong with you guys. Ben Shapiro and Brett Cooper seem to be just fine to me. You peddle in “guilty by association” thinking. Jim Jones showed a lot of the leftist craziness (communism, so called anti racism) well before most people, and he was neither a Jew nor a woman.

That’s actually exactly it; I’ve seen this in action. HR is completely overrun by social justice warrior types, and they frequently hold whole institutions hostage with their whining.

You’re possibly correct. And notice that Anita Sarkeesian are among the people joining the media hypocrisy, no surprises there. I also want to add that it’s amazing how long it took for some people to see it.

Hear hear. That the current company still calls themselves “Walt Disney Company” pisses me off a bit. Do we have a more proper nickname? “Woke Disney” is the best I can think of right now 🤔

Am I the only one who feels pissed that this company still bears Walt Disney’s name? I can guarantee that he would have had nothing to do with these woke morons.

Also to be fair, and probably pissing off Star Wars fans a bit, I think that normal guns would be more effective than the blasters in the actual films. They’re so slow that you can dodge them. Thanks I’ll show myself out 😃

Isn’t a lot of SciFi just that though? I like Dune, but, being a scientist myself, I don’t really see the “science” in it.
