It's a wicked, harmful technology that does more harm than good.

Being behind in an arms race is not a position you want to find yourself in.

Mudblood projection on your part I'm sure.

We'd need to enforce this globally, which is a losing proposition. I agree that the technology should be purged and never resurrected but to abandon it entirely is to allow our enemies to gain a weapon about which we know nothing.

Take your hallucinations and fuck right off.

I simply don't trust human engineering to be better than millions of years of real world testing that is evolution. Hell, I don't trust human engineering in this realm to even be non-harmful.

My X button is gone. There's just a hole there now.

Why, because its the truth?

No, because it's the only thing anyone can ever come up with and it's completely artificial. But please, go on and tell me how these mystical exclusive titles can only be experienced on the Playstation while they keep popping up in my Steam queue a few years later on. The Playstation itself offers nothing beyond artificial restriction of access. Nintendo by contrast has a storied history of at least attempting to make innovations with its hardware that the PC platform didn't yet offer, such as the Virtual Boy being the precursor to the Occulus and other VR platforms decades ahead of the curve, or the N64 rumble pack introducing controller feedback before it became the defacto standard. Love it or hate it, the Wii motion controls are difficult to replicate without the equivalent hardware and changed up control schemes and game design choices significantly.

I'll agree that plugging consoles into the internet was a net negative.

Exclusive games

Predictable. That's not a selling point, I'm sorry.

games that just worked

That one I'll give you, but that was every console. However: Final Fantasy XI. Anyone who has ever had to set up a Play Online account knows exactly what I'm alluding to.

Anyone below that level just constantly lives in the moment, thoughtlessly reacting to stimulus without a care for what happens next.

Basically they are just animals.

They've consistently been the only console company worth a damn for decades. Everyone else was only ever a shitty PC vendor.

I wonder if the new guy at the helm being wholly a finance bro has anything to do with these decisions.

Everything in my neck of the woods is 7 figures if you want something larger than a townhouse, and even the townhouses are creeping up there.

It's sad that I only seem to learn about artists of this caliber after tragedy has befallen them.

Alzheimer's in particular is a pretty nasty thing to succumb to. My grandmother had it and towards the end it got so bad that my sister and I couldn't even stomach going to see her. She was just a shell of who she used to be and as her body followed it became painful to see. I've recently started hearing Alzheimer's get referred to as type 3 diabetes, so take this as your reminder to take care to keep your nutrition in order and eat real food and fast once in a while. It's worth it to keep your mind intact.

It'd be really interesting to see some deep dive data on the relationship between internet forum sperg outs and genetic ancestry.

The ccp government did nothing to develop a sustainable economy.

I'm not sure if we should be casting stones, given the state of our own ability to manufacture physical goods for ourselves.

So kind of like how when the rerelease of Silent Hill 2 removed a bunch of the fog because the PS3 could handle better draw distances and utterly ruined the atmosphere. Got it.

These people need legitimate hardship in their life. They would not behave like this if they had the perspective offered by the simple life experience of having been punched in the face at least once in their life by someone who knows how to throw a punch.

While I can concede the utility of it, I'm still going to balk at the prospect from a moral perspective. That kid didn't do anything to deserve the axe.
