It's handy if you are out in the field and don't have a bucket of water and a bar of soap readily available. But outside of that...

When they announced the 2080's and the price of the 1080's crashed I was able to pick up one used for $325. I could sell that for twice what I paid for it today.

I had a friend that went and lined up at Best Buy a month ago at 3AM as they had a shipment of cards coming in and got a 3080. Sold his 1080TI for more than he paid for it 4 years ago...

Problem with wordpress software and allowing registered users is that you spend 1/3 of your day deleting spam accounts and posts and those are the ones that get through the various anti-spam services out there. Software like Disqus takes a lot of that burden away.

This arose in St. Louis with the City/County split 140ish years ago. Now there's downtown St. Louis City and a second downtown in Clayton. And now kinda a 3rd starting to pop up in Chesterfield minus the tall buildings. Neither downtowns are doing well at all.

He was like “how are you going to make your mortgage payments after you lose your jobs for not being jabbed”.

Look on his face when I shrugged and said “what mortgage…we bought this house with cash. Hell I’ve written checks for fertilizer this summer for more than our new car cost. This house is the least valuable property I own.”

It's my neighbor last week that's in employment law at a major heath care company. He was giddy about firing 30% of their employees in a month. Even sending their outside council to a meeting another firm was putting on about exemptions so they could get a list of names and deny the exemptions.

What he didn't know was that my wife worked at the firm that put on the seminar once upon a time. Apparently those who attended got an email last week informing them what the Hospital system had done and their HR department is fielding a lot of hate.

He was bragging about that and my response was: "When people would do that shit in Iraq they and their families would get a visit from Mr. 3AM..."

Best one was when the City of St. Louis spent a Million dollars to rename the airport from "Lambert-St. Louis International" to... "St. Louis-Lambert International"...

In the past 3 years I've had an neighbor from Bosnia retire, sell his place, and move back to the old country and another friend who survived Kosovo doing something similar and moving to south America as his wife is from Chile. Both told me they are seeing the same signs here they saw back in Yugoslavia in the late 80's.

That's what I keep seeing..."the pendulum will swing back". In 2016 I agreed with them as Trump should have been that swing. But instead the left managed to not only hold the pendulum back they broke it and it went flying off a cliff to the left.

Back in 2016 I used to tell people we're on a train heading for a cliff with the bridge out. Trump's going to throw the brakes. It's not going to stop the train the best we can hope for is that it derails it. It won't be pretty, but we know that Hillary would have kept shoveling coal into the engine speeding up as we go over...

I really noticed it from graduating college in the 90's and going back to law school in the 2000's. Granted we were just getting the internet and e-mail when I graduated from college and facebook existed when I went back.

Even if you are fluent in German you won't be able to understand the fucking Swiss when they speak. And it's less than half the country as they speak French in just as much if not more of the country, the south speaks Italian, and the mountain people have their own language.

However, they all speak English...
