IN 1990 I went to a career day at my uni. Employers were promoting that they were seeking women as diversity hires. Made me sick in my guts even back then.

There was some news of it about 2 weeks ago, was in QLD IIRC. I noticed at a local Woolworths that Goldstar Transport and an unmarked truck were delivering to a WW store, rather than the usual Toll Transport rig. I also saw two truck drivers in training on their L's.

The thing is, to be effective, the truckies have to make supermarket shelves go bare. But what WW has done has moved the truckies from Goldstar, who normally deliver stock TO the warehouse, to delivering to the stores. As the ambient side of the warehouse has weeks worth of capacity this is a strategy WW can use.

Sucks to be a truckie but the job market is savage at the moment.

They were paid very well for their informing on their countrymen whilst they were in Afghanistan. They will not make the high quality citizens which we (supposedly) need in the west.

The problem is that we don't have liberty in our constitution - and the only liberties which we have are granted by politicians. And what they grant (like freedom of speech, self, property, firearm ownerships) they can also take away. We have terrible defamation laws which make criticism of public figures into long legal fights and expensive settlements. The same sort of criticism which in the USA would be tolerated as fair.

The British had huge influence over the Australian constitution, and things have worked out as they have entirely by design.

From what I saw on the ground Toll's customers broke it with scab labour.

Unfortunately you need a gun licence to buy ammo - and can only buy ammo for the class of firearm/s which are licenced.

It is business and economy ahead of people here in Australia. Government giving money to employers to pass on to staff. Full lockdown in 3/4 of the country and yet the construction industry is allowed to continue - because real estate is our most loved investment. Large hardware stores continue to operate. Meanwhile rents rise with no limits in place. People will be starving and homeless at this rate.

Our neocon Liberal government does not give a stuff. The question is, who is worse? The Neocon Liberals or the Democratic Socialist Labor Party. Labor will pile on more debt but at least they seem to have some form of empathy.
