Its still pretty fucked up in a sense though. Netflix could never have advertised this movie as a warning against 11yr olds getting sexual and abandoning their cultural traditions and morality, instead they had to run with everything we've seen so far.
Interesting take, I'd have to actually see the movie to agree/disagree and I'm not sure I want to. Depending on the messaging in the movie it could go either way. Like is the film highlighting and condemning these things? Or is it highlighting and then watching this girl descend into debauchery hoping the audience disapproves of it? In this fucked up timeline you simply can't expect the audience to react as you'd hope they would, you really need to drive home the message you're attempting to deliver or else the rampant subjectivists will have their way with you.
People don't give a shit about the Oscars due to what they've become, but you're right, it was by design. They want every major social institution abolished into obscurity so that "western culture" doesn't properly exist any more, since all of its highest institutions will be made irrelevant.
This is not an endorsement of violence, just stating facts but this isn't going to go away until these people die. Until they do, they'll just keep pushing this thing harder and harder in the hopes they can pass the mind virus on to future generations. At the moment they've been somewhat successful at that already. Now they want to make it wall to wall critical theory all day every day.
The only way to put out the fire is to starve it of oxygen, and I'm not sure how best to immunize folks so that they stop caring about the leftists think. It happens one person at a time it seems, but there's some hope that it can be done at least.
And rioters were only defending themselves from the gunman. I mean if you saw someone walking around the street with a gun, wouldn't YOU attack them too!? Its just common sense. I mean you have a family to protect, and he might shoot them, so your best bet is to attack him head on, just like Ahmaud Arbery (who dindu nuffin!) and wrestle the gun out of his hands!....no seriously I had a guy make an argument similar to that recently, and I don't even begin to know how to explain to him how unbelievably stupid that idea is.
The media can run with a "Trump supporters are causing violence in Portland" narrative a lot easier than "radical leftists are rioting for 500th night". At the moment the momentum seems to swinging towards Trump being all about law and order, which I believe he is, but if the red hats start popping up, the winds could change against him.
Its always been a narrative war, and the trick is not to play by their rules, but the hard part is teaching others not to play by them either. That's been their big great push throughout all these years, getting people to accept their terms and premises, because once enough people accept their framework, they win.
Its painfully true. The mob cannot be reasoned with, because you're not talking to a reasonable person or people, but to a thoughtless parasitic idea that has infected their behavior. They would put their own lives at risk and die for nothing without a moment's hesitation, because all rational thought has left them.
You'd also be asking yourself why people are fighting over the phrases "black lives matter" vs "all lives matter". Dumbasses out there still believe "black lives matter" isn't an inherently divisive thing to say, when ten years ago people would have been like "Why are we fighting over which race matters!? We just elected Obama president."
Something lost these days, but "conspiracy theories" can also just be a lot of fun. They don't have to be true, and you don't have to believe them to find entertainment out of them. Obviously there are some nutjobs, but who cares?
Every. Fucking. Time.
