Scalpers are in fact adding a service. They're allowing people with more resources to access the product/service more readily than people with less resources instead of simply allowing the people who showed up first to acquire the limited product/service. All my peers would nonstop complain at every bank. Some pretty girl would get the red carpet treatment, do no work and the less and less White guys were forced to cover for all the work being done. A group of bankers at a smaller investment bank in town all quit for this reason (too many women and nons not doing enough work and the White men expected to pickup the slack). HR would sent out new hiring lists in a city that was like 70% White where 8/10 potential candidates were black and they'd call it the most diverse candidate selection ever. Diverse? 8/10 blacks in a city of 70% Whites? Uh huh... I lost out on a job paying $100k/yr more literally because the Hiring Manager wanted to hire a woman over me because she was the first woman on the team. She failed her case study for the interview process that I did acceptable on. No, I am not the next Newton but how I conduct myself in my day-to-day inevitably will do far more good than you or your children ever will. Not everyone's influence needs to be Plato level of influence.
