How many people did the guy kill? None? So, how exactly was security ineffective at anything again? Sure, the guards at the first checkpoint were caught flat-footed and looked like they were bored af but in the end security proved effective. Designing total security around the idea that not all security personnel will be effective individually but that overall the security will be effective is actually well-designed security. If you need all security personnel to be on 100% alert at all times, then you haven't designed good security.
Guy's an idiot. The only failure was there there were occupied rooms right by the exterior checkpoint. That K9 handler obviously wasn't staring at him with a gun in his hand. That's so obvious I feel retarded for having to point that out.
How far away was the gunman from the actual ballroom? does anyone actually know how far this checkpoint was from the main room?
He came from inside the hotel, he checked in a day before & was regularly wandering around, checking it out.
That checkpoint was off to the side, yes. They weren't expecting much traffic there, so they weren't on high alert or anything.
Pretty far away. This was the outermost checkpoint & was not expecting much traffic through it.
I'm thinking the guy talking with the K9 officer was not the gunman. It looks like they have different shoes? So the K9 talked to some guy & the gunman came down that hall, then started running when the officer moved away from the door.
The only golems the feds and glowies want to willingly arm with firearms are the troons. Soon as they find out someone else is radical antisemite, FBI's quickly on the case but if it's troon, they are going to sit on their treacherous asses and let the golem wreck havok since it isn't brave enough to go after the real target.
The man who shot John Lennon? He was also stalking David Bowie too, at the same time. On the day of the shooting he had a front-row center ticket to Bowie's play, he planned to shoot him too.
One man with a gun is a dangerous thing!

That's the point I'd make. That the agents right at the gate missed isn't surprising, they were surprised and were shooting at a guy running at them.
I don't think that bathroom right outside the metal detectors should have been open, but that is a procedural thing.

It was the floor above and I don't how far away it was but he came through the hotel side entrance.

"Big gov hates this one trick!"
More like easy for targets the establishment DON'T MIND losing..
I'm just saying, a crazy might have less security getting to Clarence Thomas or Massie but they'll have A GRADE security around Turtleneck or Lindsey.

Gun was in the room clearly. Why it wasn't searched is the real question here.
