I think if you lowered certification you'd have better teachers, simply because you'd have more intelligent people willing to switch careers to teaching and be able to more easily remove the unqualified ones.

Beyond that, I think most of the efficiency and attention to detail that work teaches is in the boomer sense of not using technology properly and therefore just being extremely inefficient.
