This is really what I feel when reading some twatter threads, the commies are really uncanny.

We should make an extension to replace it with the old one.

It's an html img tag with the attribute alt="PogChamp", it should be fairly easy to regex

Search engine: duckduckgo.

Phone: Librem 5 or similar linux phone if you want to use them, it's not very easy.

Alternatively, a de-googled android phone, running some operating system like the /e/ or similar AOSP based ones. It's easier but you could still be traced as the components all use proprietary firmware that has more NSA/CIA backdoors than a convention of SJWs has soy lattes.

Oh yes.

I meant I was in favor of keeping it and didn't understand the context from your reply.

If it's not public we can sneak some money past their censorship.

It becomes a problem if you're very big, like Sargon.

Exactly, we could even get an Iranian uncensorable ip but they could just blacklist it at national level. I'm very doubtful that it would actually happen, but it could.

Wait, I thought we were in favor of net neutrality? Did something happen?

Usenet newsgroups are still up, and a lot of them are unmoderated.

It's an ocean of spam but it could actually be a good strategy to hide there.

It won't be as anonymous as other stuff that's been posted in this thread, but as a quick and dirty fix it could work well.

Good idea.

Messy and decentralized can be a strength if you leverage it, look at anonymous for example.

The only thing I don't agree with is the radio: in a lot of countries to use it you need a code that's basically a self dox, also it's extremely easy to eavesdrop.

Maybe I'll look into usenet (but I think it has the same problems) and IRCs...

Technically yes, but if the companies in charge cut all the routing to an ip there's not much you can do except use a foreign VPN.

Guys in europe have been doing it for a long time to get past censorship (for example to access the pirate bay)

That looks surprisingly good.

It's also open source so we could just fork it in the eventuality that it gets hit by Winnie the Pooh's acolytes.

Another good one I saw is Zot/6, where your identity is a public RSA key making it very anonymous and basically immune to cancel culture.

ISPs most certainly can, and they can be pressured by the governments. But that's usually for much more serious stuff.

A p2p system for the ".win brotherhood" (I don't know the official name if any) would be the dream

True, but I find it painful to always have to watch my back

It's literally digital feudalism kek

There are some good hosts in europe that don't care as long as you pay, but I think that they'd bend the knee a little bit too easily if they see the american hosts doing it first.

Maybe we could look in some third world country or remote island.

Yes, we could put together some big brains to get some kind of decentralization going.

I have a feeling we wouldn't be welcome to the fediverse, because unfortunately many free software advocates are blatant tankies.

However we could use an ActivityPub implementation to create a knock-off fediverse for our own use.

Like all distributed platforms, once you get going, it's very difficult to stop you.

For everything else, I agree. Also good idea for the MMOs, I'll give it some thought.
