What can be possibly done? All the other problems can be addressed but I feel like DNS is the final filter. We can't flee "muh private corporations" if we depend solely on other private corporations to not pull the domain from under our feet. Thoughts?

That looks surprisingly good.
It's also open source so we could just fork it in the eventuality that it gets hit by Winnie the Pooh's acolytes.
Another good one I saw is Zot/6, where your identity is a public RSA key making it very anonymous and basically immune to cancel culture.
