The third being an active desire to re-write anything that existed before them to comply with their ideology, so that there is no escape from their ideology.

Oh, no, the biological male in question was still fully biologically male.

But they had the right ideology, and so the NHS decided to get involved in law enforcement.

APDSmith 8 points ago +8 / -0

That's something of an overstatement, but the fact remains that the NHS tried to intervene in the rape prosecution of one of their patients for a year, choosing to tell the police that because the biological male behind the rape had declared themselves trans, not only was it not possible for him to have been the rapist in the women's ward in question, it was in fact not possible for there to have been a rape

will they do it again?

To answer this question, ask yourself: how many politicians or FBI agents have face any consequences - any consequences whatsoever - from perjury, fraud, conspiracy and collusion in the service of undermining the president of the united states.

You're obviously not familiar with the de facto trans "right to rape" that's becoming common practice in the UK.

And regulators, don't forget the regulators they lied to as well...

APDSmith 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh, agreed, it's total BS ... but I can't think why else entrapment is there, apart from a thorough misunderstanding of the relevant law.

34
APDSmith 34 points ago +35 / -1

I think they think they've covered that off with "entrapment"

... but who entraps people to gain false information? Doesn't really hold up if you think about it, but that is the last thing wiki wants you do to here...

APDSmith 14 points ago +14 / -0

... and how long before that turns into "It can't have been child rape, Your Honour. I don't recognise the concept of 'child'!"

I think the answer, after that Veritas thing, is Twitter simply is not interested in making money. They've gone all-in on the culture warrior side of things, so yeah, they are willing to defraud their investors - and regulators - to get the win, as they see it.

. As a lifelong Star Wars fan I thought I would see adaptations of the EU books I had been reading for 20 years.

It did seem like a no-brainer, didn't it?

Buy an IP with decades of source material, go film that source material

But no, we got the Force is Female instead.

You wonder just how hard that decision has hurt Disney shareholders.

What parallel world do the Politico clowns live in?

One in which every election ever - except 2016 - was completely free and fair.

One in which Trump colluded with Russia.

One in which the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation that almost derailed Our Democracy™ - until brave and decisive action by the nation's true leaders over at Twitter, Facebook and more preserved the American way of life.

At least for long enough for Antifa to burn it down peacefully.

You would think strident support for the death of 100 million people would be something of a barrier to normal employment, wouldn't you?

13
APDSmith 13 points ago +13 / -0

I'm not sure I would have make this particular call, but apparently one of the key problems the Biden administration has to deal with is that they are just too damned cooperative with those filthy Republicans.

Who knew?

I suppose a plus side is the jail he's in case save on power.

That kid is glowing so hard they don't need the lights on.

School officials are said to be investigating the matter which was reportedly undertaken by one particular teacher and wasn't indicative of the overall curriculum.

So that teacher has been fired, right?

Right ... ?

I take a less charitable view.

This is a predator, donning camouflage, waiting for the right moment to strike.

People like this lot don't have the capability to write good text. Correcting them in the learning stages would have been problematic.

So yeah, they're turning well-written stuff into an abomination because they literally know no better. They probably think this virtue-signalling-laden drek is better because while it's soulless porridge, it's ideologically-compliant soulless porridge.

He doesn't want to live life as Winston.

He thinks the way this is going to turn out, he gets to be O'Brien, and he's all in favour of that.

X-mens' new trans mutant superhero

Trans mutant

I give it about an hour before somebody somewhere does something with that

I wonder if the intent is instead simply to remove the individual states from any position of power on this.

Covid enforcement in the US was marked by a patchwork of varying levels of lockdown and mask mandates because it was decided state-by-state.

If we're screwing around and throwing international treaties at it, I'm presuming that this bypasses the states entirely and is decided at Federal level.

This threat is contained in new amendments to WHO’s International Health Regulations, proposed by the Biden administration,

Ahh, that old chestnut.

How to pass a law that is not constitutional doesn't carry enough domestic support anyway?

Get it put in a treaty and sign the treaty.
