Could be because despite trying to bury the story like Europe does with immigrant rape gangs, China has a growing problem of, men especially, losing all will to live and committing random mass attacks like mass stabbings. The whole 'burn down the village to feel warmth' mentality.

So increasing unemployment rates might increase that. Though an AI programmed with Chinese values would probably Skynet China first so that's probably another reason they hesitate to utilise it fully..

Increasing unemployment rates WILL increase that, by an enormous amount.

Only issue is HOW they have such high employment.

I remember being told this, there was a group from the West, a mix of architects and Engineers who were talking to a Chinese construction company. During the visit to their offices, they asked how they had so much employment and be environmental. The Chinese delegation boasted that they utilised the labour force of China over heavy machines including hand mixing the cement.

The architects were blown away while EVERY western Engineer eyed the exit points realising how many buildings in China were deathtraps..

The last thing the Chinese care about is the 'environmental' aspect. You don't think they'd use the corpses of fallen workers as ballast for their foundations?

I can't remember if it was environmental or some other way to bullshit 'advanced construction techniques'

Point was the engineers could IMMEDIATELY tell it was bullshit and that is one of the reasons they currently have a housing crisis as they have A LOT of unoccupied buildings people bought intending for a return on investment...

..only to find them all so poorly constructed they CAN'T be occupied. They have the most modern ghost cities currently.

What's worse is that people are using those abanadoned aprtments as "bone ash" burial sites for loved ones because it's cheaper than buying actual burial plots: https://www.wionews.com/world/china-moves-to-end-bone-ash-burials-in-empty-apartments-here-s-why-1774963516610

It's called "tofu dregs" construction. Their quality control is non existent, and there have been new buildings that collapsed before construction was done.

Probably something to do with Chinese women being more insane versions of gold diggers in the west

It also doesn't matter what the laws say in China, if it's cheaper than people, it'll replace the people

I would go further and say that if it is cheaper than people in the extreme short term, it will usually replace people.

The race for killer AIs isn't happening in China right now. It's happening in Russia and Ukraine, as each scrambles to make new generations of drones that are fully autonomous and can keep killing people even if their operators are overwhelmed or neutralized.

Many Russians believe Ukraine and its backers have actually achieved it - they think there are too many drones for each of them to plausibly have a controller, and that they are essentially being murdered by self-contained killer robots at this point.

Too many drones for each to have a controller in Ukraine, maybe?

...maybe. But maybe they're actually operating without any controller at all. Which is an unnerving thought.

I know the US has autonomous drones that fly, evade, hide, search, and highlight targets autonomously, but due to regulatory and sanity concerns, ping a home command and "ask" if they may kill their target. Which means one of those drinking-bird-toys tapping a "confirm" key could command a fleet of drones, in theory.

It's likely Ukraine is using similar tech, since that is old US tech and the US is sending out their old tech. One person can "command" a thousand drones, since all they need to do is look at a photo and confirm "kill this one? Y/N" every so often.

kek.. yea.. there's a chinese fbi which really works hard to enforce the laws too..

ya'll really gotta get a grip on how china operates as a national entity, how power flows down through the states, and how their cops actually handle criminal matters, particularly at the "high level" where party members are concerned.

if you think of the CCP like a mafia family.. you're on the right track..

so.. sure.. it's "illegal."

in all cases, AI doesn't exist, language models are retarded, and they want to cull the human race, no matter what your skin color is.

You can tell many of these posters have only lived in functioning high trust societies and gobble up propaganda like gospel.

There will be entire offices of Chinese companies that are just employees in rooms doing nothing while the business is run by AI.

China is communist-light, meaning they still allow people to enrich themselves.

A frfiend of mine (gamer) decided one morning to open a boba tea shop on a corner street. Got a local license for less than $5 here and that's it. He put his shop there and make $1000+ usd a day. No taxes, no form to file, no report to make - you buy your tapioca stuff, your tea from local stores in the morning, and make tea, and thats it.

After a few weeks competitors open and he just stopped as he went from 1k a day to 100 and it wasn't worth it anymore (less than $10 an hour).

In the US he'd need to spend hundreds of thousands just to be allowed to be considered to open that kind of business.

Many of the big Chinese and Taiwanese models are released for local use too.
