The whole thing from top to bottom is a social contagion. That has been apparent since at least the mid 2010s when people started becoming aware of the cesspool that is Tumblr.
Sure was funny how tumblr was mocked to hell and back for years and then suddenly that madness was pushed into the mainstream and mockery wasn't allowed anymore. Very organic.

No. All numbers are fake. It has been openly admitted that the quote of 10 or even 5% gay was “invented to make us look bigger.” An old study (shit… fifteen years, I think) put it closer to 0.8%, counting people who stopped pretending to be faggots.

I've wondered about this. My graduating class in high school was just about 300 people. There was one guy who people made fun of for being gay, but he married a woman. I literally don't know anyone from my graduating class who is gay, lesbian, or trans. One guy a year younger came out as bi in the most whiny Facebook post ever where he complained about gay men discriminating against him and laughing at him for claiming to be bi.
There are certainly people out of those 300 I have completely lost track of, haven't heard anything about, etc., but I'm friended with probably 100 of them on Facebook, and zero gay.

The massive gay identification in millennials and zoomers is mostly due to the nonbinary, bisexual, and asexual labels that you can apply to yourself while presenting normally and avoiding the radical forms of faggotry. I've seen numbers quoted up to 30%. Kind of like how over 20% of enrollment at Stanford now identifies as learning-disabled so you can get extra time on tests, a guaranteed single room, etc.

Where I live absolutely not 1%. But I work at the edge of a nearby city. For lunch, I usually venture out to the yuppy hipster neighborhood nearby. I could believe troons are 0.5% or so there based on how many freaks I've seen. But even there definitely not 1%.
