Meanwhile back in the day they were driving around poaching deer, nowadays you'd get caught on some sort of camera whether it be home security, trail camera, or some sort of government surveillance initiative.

That article is older than the state of Illinios suing Palantir for facilitating a crime. Because what the TX LEO did is a crime in IL. And, the TX LEO used Palantir to commit that crime.
Also Home Depot, and Lowes are pointing their Palantir cameras specifically at Planned Parenthood, and dispensaries. I posted a link to a deflock site last week. I got that from a long ass reddit thread of people showing screenshots of where those cameras are pointed in their area.
