What's better than playing a game with 7 friends? That's time well spent. The game gets very complex with that many players, and we do commander, it's a relaxing mental exercise that helps fight aging.
Catan got old and mtg is timeless. If it wasn't mtg we'd play some video game so we'd never even meet up and hang out on discord instead.

It was fun, but all this woke slop came with equally retarded mechanics, mostly based on Arena, in order to have each new set trump the last one.
I use to play with friends every weekend for years and I could get by building weenie decks out of the last few sets so long as I got creative. Now, if you don't play the meta constantly, you lose.
Yeah the power ramp is real, it's Hasbro's way of selling to the old fans while doing shit like spongebob and tmnt to attract new players. Its greedy but the effect is gone entirely if the group allows proxy cards. Its also interesting to play against a newer pre-con even if its OP.
And the "woke" stuff is literally nonexistent to me. My proxy's have Aragorn from the films. Or you could just ignore the rcae swaps, or not let them ruin your experience of PLAYING A GAME WITH FRIENDS.

MTG became super popular with Final Fantasy set. Then crashed after that set lol. Spiderman flopped, avatar is meh, mass cancelations with TMNT.
Its funny that these assholes dont include all versions of april. Shit... spiderman had like 30 diff spiderman and suits.

They went pure for the final fantasy set. Even used original concept art for some cards whith extra skimpy outfits, something you'd expect to be changed.

Anyone buying them deserves them. These cards will be worth less than dust in 5 years because of poor card stock. There is literal time lapse of some Magic cards bending on their own about 5 years ago. You think it got any better now?
And the foil special cards bend on themselves even faster for some card games, not sure if MTG has that same issue.
After MTG printed out Aragorn and Theoden as Lord of the Kangs nobody should believe they are anything of value.

I used to be a fan of "The Turtles." Some people don't get why April O'Neil is black every now, and again. When it was new, and just a B&W comic, the O'Neil character looked black. So, fans thought she was black at some point. The making April O'Neil black thing is really an homage to TMNT's history. Also, people hate gingers. LOL.
