For some reason, once he had the gun, he started just walking off with it. You can see the other officers jump in surprise when he does.
You don't need to exaggerate with me. I'm not letting him entirely off the hook here, but I think he overreacted, and that overreaction was inevitable. Shit happens during high-stake arrests, and every arrest is high-stakes now, largely because of liberal agitation to create this exact circumstance. That you have an armed dude following ICE around and getting into fights with them at all should be a clear enough indicator of that. The day after day harassment and interference, and the endless riling themselves up to "fight fascists," was meant to create unstable circumstances so that they could benefit off of the inevitable mistake.
That this whole situation has been deliberately crafted means precision is even more important. There's no room for muddied waters here. Just because it's his overreaction doesn't mean the situation was his responsibility to begin with, nor should anyone be expected to be perfect in situations designed to cause mistakes.
I think I can give him the benefit of the doubt, at least until there is a clearer video, for being twitchy at sharp movements if the guy already pulled a gun and tried to kill them once. It isn't like heavy winter clothes can't hide multiple weapons.

From the start of the video it looks like all 3 individuals tried to force an ICE vehicle to stop blocking the road with their bodies. That's probably why they were all targeted for restraint and/or arrest. Not because they argued with the agents on the side of the road.
And I think the shot pattern of one shot, a moderate pause, then multiple rapid shots, to me sounds like the guy's firearm discharged, whether deliberately or accidentally, whilst they tried to disarm him and someone who didn't have a good angle on his hands or where the gun was returned fire shortly after.
If I had to guess, it probably was green shirt+blue jeans, who starts on the left, sees something in the scuffle (presumably the gun and grabbing match) that makes him draw and walk behind the guy getting arrested to presumably be out of the line of fire, which also blocks his line of sight on his hands. He's probably the guy who starts unloading with the second volley after only hearing the first shot and knowing the suspect had hands on a gun seconds ago.
