Taxes have absolutely nothing to do with the economic system. They’re not required and haven’t been for 80 years. Things would only improve if people stopped using the currency entirely, and then only for them.
This. The Fed prints money and gives it directly to people they think need the money (banks, investment funds, government, etc). All taxes serve is to take currency out of circulation so the currency doesn’t collapse overnight.
Why do they need it to look legitimate? They print infinity currency every year. There’s no such thing as a balanced budget. The core concept of MMT is that taxes don’t matter, and they want it pushed immediately.
"FOMO" isn't necessarily just about shared media content or chasing likes for validation. There's a risk of losing some communication with friends in some cases. I imagine that's why some people would feel like they need their friends to abandon a particular site with them. It would potentially serve to maintain personal connections.
Some clubs and other groups only post their stuff on a site like Facebook where you can barely access any of it or sign up for events unless you join the site
“Nigger, how is cyberbullying real? Just step away from the screen. Nigger, close your eyes.”
This “research” was money laundering and everyone involved should be killed. There is no “trapping.” There’s a button on every website to delete your account. Or you can just delete your bookmark and not go back yourself. Your lack of willpower is your problem.
Fucking morons. Just put it down for one hour. Then another hour. Then another hour. Then you've gone almost all day if you've got a job and shit to do at home that should be taking up your time anyway.
Then do it again tomorrow.
Hey look, it's been 48 hours since you touched social media. That was easy. Keep going.
But they want others to leave as well. If they leave and everyone else stays they might get pestered to join again, won't have another way to keep in touch with people or won't be able to open links people send them.

I feel this way about the tax system. If suddenly everybody quit paying taxes then many things would improve.

Taxes are needed to make the system look legitimate and to further demoralize the working class.

I don't have to imagine. I also didn't have to for the MySpace phase, or the Facebook phase, or the Instagram phase...
Haha loser.
