Nothing ever comes from these hearings. No one ever gets put in jail or even charged. It's just a big media fluster to trick the masses into thinking something significant is happening or accountability might be a thing that actually exists, but it's all a sham.
Well considering its not just Twitch but also Steam being called in about it, its probably a good thing its all nonsense because its clearly being used as a front to clamp down on speech and gaming (as always) by not letting a good tragedy go to waste.
Like, of the 4 called, that one stands out as a strange outlier that makes it incredibly obvious what the actual plan is combined with a bunch of other politicians oddly calling out gaming over the last week.
I think the other comments are all missing the point. We understand that these organizations are Leftist first, and then businesses second. Twitch isn't hosting Hasan because he's profitable, they're hosting Hasan because they agree with him. Same reason why Ben & Jerry will never stop Leftist activism, it's literally a front for Leftist political action & fund raising. Same reason why Reddit will never crackdown on Leftist propaganda, it's literally a propaganda and fake consensus building machine for Leftist propaganda (at this point heavily infiltrated by foreign Leftists as well). Same reason why Discord will never get rid of furries, it's literally a Furry institution.
No normies understand this (probably not any senators either), and exposing them in a circus is a useful tool to educate the public on how bad this really is.
Steam is a business. Reddit, Discord, and Twitch are not.
This is why we need dedicated right-wing institutions. Right now, we're basically piling into effectively neutral institutions.
Twitch is where I go to watch Uma Musume streaming... did that radicalize me?
😲
I mean, I already love catgirls. Have I been radicalized to love horsegirls too?
OH MY!
I'm less concerned with radicalization specifically, and more concerned that every online "space" seems to invariably devolve to a single personality which everyone involved shares, which rarely makes any coherent sense. Bad actors are the least of our problems when the basic technology has such huge flaws.
I'm sure he's terrified at how stern the talking to will be.
This is a circus, nothing more.

twitch, steam, discord and Plebbit
Beware the blowback: when democrats win/steal then gab/pdw/twitter2.0 will be shut down so fast.

Gabe Newell got one of these too. I can't wait to see some octogenarians blame video games that came out before the shooter was born.
There will be lame grandstanding and preening for the cameras by the GOP but ultimately they'll cuck out and do absolutely nothing.
We need a real opposition party.
