The fact that GOP.inc is blaming video games makes me think this theory has water. They usually make that connection with school shootings and the like, not a clear targeted political assassination like this.
It's an absolutely retarded point for them to bring into the discussion because in doing so they start to validate the claims of charlie's murderers, that there was some social or cultural factor in his death. Their lie is that it was 'guns' or 'hatred (by conservatives)' - 'well maybe video games' is just adding to the lie. It makes zero sense to do this in the context of an assassination. Literally fucking everybody knows he was killed for being Charlie Kirk, in a country where a great many people have proven they will celebrate the murder of an average conservative for the crime of being conservative.

All of this boils own to 'my source says...' vs 'nuh-uh', but Ackman's response rubs me the wrong way.
In all his protestations about how no 'intervention' happened with Charlie, he seems unable to talk around the fact that one did in fact happen - it's just that his protestation is that the intervention was prompted by Charlie himself, and the intervention was against TPUSA itself or against growing youth anti-semitism as a whole. We're supposed to accept that Kirk himself was the driver for this and no reference is made to all the times that Jews have been mad at him.
And he expects us to believe that all of this was super chill and involved no pressure, that he was totally cool with 'Some participants [being] critical of Israel' and that the purpose was not specifically to shape the future direction of TPUSA to be more pro-Israel.
We know this is not how things are done. At their most benign, Jewish ideas to reduce anti-semitism can still get wacky and deceptive, such as Mike Benz's alt-right alterego which he now claims was all about saving Jews. We know the spectrum extends way off in the opposite direction from benignancy too. Ackman is asking us to swallow a horse by acting like there was no pressure here. If anyone has been following this story, there is a scary amount of smoke in terms of motivation for Israel to whack him. Im definitely anti Israel, but I'm not as hardcore as some and really like Charlie. But I noticed he was changing his mind and was excited. I remarked at the time how big of a deal the Megyn Kelly video where both were talking about the pressure they were getting was.

He didn't, but fabulist stories about Israel threatening to kill him were circulating by Harrison Smith of Info Wars going back a couple of months ago. I suspect this stuff was circulated to boost Kirk's credibility among Israel critics, but it could have also just been engagement bait.

Like him or not (and I was never a big fan for reasons unrelated to Israel), he had been opening his mind from the moment that the Iran War made the tide turn against Israel.
He invited Tucker Carlson. He had a debate on Israel between Dave Smith and a hack, which he moderated without putting his finger on the scale. He strongly opposed the Iran War (but of course had to cover for Trump in the end).
Him platforming Carlson is a more realistic reason I could see Jews being pissed with him. Carlson has really made them mad lately.
Some people spend as much time obsessing over Israel as they do breathing, constantly looking for hidden code words and secret signals that prove the Mossad is behind every single thing that happens in the world. If there's the tiniest angle that might be a way to connect something to what they think Israel is, their mind latches on and won't let go no matter what.
You're not completely wrong, but there is some small amount of circumstantial evidence. One is that Kirk had started becoming increasingly critical of Israel. Two, there were some comments from before the assassination claiming that Israel threatened to kill him. Three, how professionally this was done, and how the shooter got away - at least initially. That was the time when I wondered if it could be Israel.
Of course, this isn't very strong evidence. I'd say maybe 1-2% chance that Israel was involved.
You can find circumstantial evidence for anything if you're looking for it. Going from "he said things that were critical of Israel recently" to "the Mossad plotted to murder Charlie Kirk" is totally insane behavior, absolutely no connection to reality whatsoever.
