I don't think they want to be monsters. I think they delude themselves into the idea that there's a new life waiting for them, filled with new growth and adventures; that the life they've wasted wasn't for nothing and it's not too late for them if they just start fresh enough.
I disagree. From the outset, the idea that sex change is even possible was a lie invented by a malpractitioner who owned child brothels.

This is it, IMO. The are part of the queer movement whose stated mission is to subvert and invert every evolved social and biological norm. It’s basically biblical satanism in secular clothing. It's a lie, certainly. But they wouldn't be doing it if they didn't think or insisted themselves into thinking that there's something positive in it for them. Perhaps you're demonizing them too much. If they only wanted to be malicious monsters, they wouldn't kill themselves at such rates before expending all the damage they could cause: mind you, most of them don't go out and cause a mass shooting before dying. Malice alone doesn't explain the phenomenon.

The thing about evil is that it isn't a discrete, conscious thought otherwise good people have. Most trannies aren't rubbing their hands in smoky rooms and coming up with more elaborate pronouns. Just because most of them don't have the theory of mind to accurately explain why a Jordan Peterson free-speecher would take issue with their whole project doesn't mean they aren't doing it on purpose and that it isn't evil.

Yeah, I got forgot to include maybe the most important part of my first comment: what they are pursuing isn't true. It doesn't matter what the reason is they use to convince themselves or what "real" reason is, they pursue a lie. That's monstrous.
