I'm not trying to be argumentative, especially about a movie I haven't seen, but I can't believe a A24 film made by a liberal New York City jew isn't taking a side. Or that it's side is anything but far left nonsense
I haven’t watched much a24 outside of some of their horror movies and they’re by far the most leftist subversive crap that pretends to be “intelligent”. It’s all “evil white supremacists killing white people” (Green room), creepy evil rural white people (midsommar), evil white men (Men), creepy white cult tries to rape ugly black woman (opus).
A24 did Green Room? Didn't know that, but it makes sense. It was well-directed but obviously pushing a conspicuous agenda.
And yes, ALL of their content is subversive Leftist propaganda. I like that their films are unique and tackle original ideas, but it's always from the perspective of the Left or aimed in that direction.
If they have a non-subversive movie I would love to know what it is.
I try to filter out a lot of my intake these days, and far more aggressively; otherwise you start finding yourself going, "Well that wasn't too bad; I guess they do have a point", and then you start sliding in acceptance of things you shouldn't because you're judging based on the lesser evil(s), rather than judging based on the promotion of values you actually adhere to or agree with.
Hollywood is incapable of any serious introspection about the social dynamics that surrounded COVID, because those who work in Hollywood live their lives immersed in the society that made COVID hysteria possible.
The levels of contempt I have for such people cannot be put into words.
Just watched it last night. Again I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m trying to avoid specifics. Due to when and what’s being depicted, obviously the movie contains wokeness (aka harpy white women screeching about the oppression of blacks to a black cop, masking and social distancing and all the other memes of the era), without (imo) “picking a side”.
To encapsulate what I mean, there is a hilarious scene where a white lad is explaining to his white parents about “dismantling whiteness” (which he just “learned” about that afternoon to further his pursuit of pussy) - and his dad just hits him flat with the ol’:
The Left has gone so far extreme and disenfranchised so many -- that to weed people back to the Left they have to poke fun at the extremes almost everyone can universally agree on as being "too woke".
It's to say, "See, look how ridiculous this is? But see this other thing over here? It's much less egregious". It gets the normies to go, "Yes, you're right -- X is very extreme, but Y is definitely acceptable".
Expect to see this doled out to soften people's perceptions on "lighter" positions the Left want to push by criticising the hotter button issues that are a step too far, all in order to gently nudge the Overton window even further Left.

With that faggot Pascal too.
Yeah Imma press X to doubt on this one.
I struggle to think of movies not made by liberal New York City jews to a major extent, but I still manage to enjoy the odd one lol
Your trepidation is fair enough, probably even earned, while at the same time A24 are one of the few sources of interesting movies these days imo

It's true with media so far left you have to learn to appreciate things in spite of the messaging.
Or simply not partake.

Valid.....
...But Unless the plan is to drop out of society, we have to venture into the public square occasionally.

Amen.
Jew producer. Jew and commie actors. Pass.

It's the soft target bias.

Okay, that scene convinced me to give the movie a shot.
Lame A24 faggot shit.
Looks gay.
Watching movies is not entertaining to me anymore.
