just became an official U.S. federal library. Putting Belgium in direct conflict with the U.S. Government

When the democrats steal the next election- expect them to demolish many US core institutions.

A few months ago DNS blocking arrived in Belgium, where several orders required both ISPs and DNS resolvers to restrict access to pirate sites. This prompted significant pushback, most notably Cisco’s OpenDNS ceasing operations in the country.

How many people took the time, and money to become Cisco Certified for their country just to fuck it up?

Wtf are you talking about? It's not Saudi Arabia or the UAE pulling this shit. It's Australia and Belgium.

Not many Americans know this because of how Europe is romanticized, but Belgium is a depressing, gray shithole

Spent a couple days in Belgium in June.

I 100% completely understand now why Farage says Belgium isn't a country.

Not only is it a grey shithole, it's a grey shithole where no one can talk to each other.

The countrysides are still beautiful in most of Europe. The cities are all shitty... Then again it isn't much different here. Only they have Muslims invading and we have Hispanics. All things being equal, the Muslims are worse. The major difference is that in Europe, the countrysides have mostly been abandoned, while in the US, the suburbs and rural areas are thriving.

Thanks for that information!

It's not even obvious that you have to request to read. I was reading old alt history threads last week, and instead of links to books like usual as citation, the links were just dead.

Is this the modern day burning of the Library of Alexandria? Sorry for my ignorance concerning this but with the whole payment processers and censore, this is what this seems like.

The Library of Alexandria had already been in severe decline for centuries before the Muslims burned down what little had survived into the 7th century. This shit would be more like the Mongols obliterating the House of Wisdom or the destruction of Constantinople's libraries in the 1200s, actual intellectual reservoirs (unlike so much of modern academia) getting nuked by outside forces at or shortly after their flowering peak.

Publishers tried this a few years ago. The newer books were removed unless given permission. No one bought more books. Turns out people using a library aren't ever going to switch to spending money. Especially when they know the attempt to force them to pay was made.

https://copyrightlately.com/as-publishers-beat-internet-archive-are-libraries-the-real-losers/

We already learned there is no money in this. Library users didn't switch to being buyers. Libraries just had to pay more.

It's funny you use the word second hand. Second-hand sales were attacked hard a few years ago. This is the reason the IRS lowered its dollar amount to $600. The second hand market was negatively affecting retailers according to the same retailers. That's the reason IRS agents needed guns, they stalk garage sales over second hand tax dollars.

Who thinks they're getting money over this?

Belgium got loot boxes banned and now we got battlepasses and cashshop. How overwatch1 did loot boxes was great. If you like the game and play boxes you naturally get it. During events, you probably cant get all the skins but you can use coins you get from non event duplicates to buy event skins. So you dont pay for anything..

Now... now you HAVE to pay 20 bucks a skin or like 15 for battlepass. That and the gay shit overwatch did made me quit the game.
