Trump, in the course of a few weeks, absolutely destroyed any remaining trust in the system, and any faith in populist leaders working within that system. Enthusiasm for outsiders is gone. Trump killed the very loophole that let him get in in the first place, and destroyed any hope for moderate change or even pressure releases.
It doesn't matter what anyone says to get elected, Trump and his administration of outsiders proved that easily.
I'm just theorizing, but I potentially see one or two radical leftists riding the chaos and feeling of betrayal in the right, and then either acceptance/normalization, or boogaloo. But I don't think we see any more "heroes" getting elected on the right to save us.
