If I have to choose blowing up the world and debt slavery to pay for it vs. blowing up the world and debt slavery to pay for it plus gay shit everywhere, well, I guess give me McCain.

Unfortunately, the McCains only oppose the latest gay shit. They're just fine with the gay shit that was being pushed ten years ago.

Not judging, just despairing.

Putin is right when he says Presidents come and go, but the policy stays the same. Regardless of whatever they come intending to do when they get in, when their term starts men in black suits show up and tell them how things are gonna be run.

Perhaps an exaggeration, but orange man is doing whatever he can to make that look like the full and unadulterated truth lately.

Americans vote for domestic policy. International policy is dictated elsewhere, regardless of who is holding office.

If border enforcement continues improving, still the right choice. With any luck they're too focused on world politics to notice domestic improvements.

A drastic righting of the ship on border policy would at least buy us the time to free us of our other issues later. Lose on the border and it doesn't matter whether patriots or pedophiles rule the country; it will be a shithole regardless.

I've made the same argument to people who say that Europeans shouldn't vote for populist parties because they are all very Zionist. We couldn't care less about that.

Putin isn't playing ball. Trump gave him the off-ramp but Putin has gotten it in his head that he can prevail and get Odessa. Putin is also getting pressured by China not to 'lose' the conflict.

Trump needs to serve Putin his own ass.

Trump gave him the off-ramp

Surely, you're not buying that after he gave the green-light to do a Pearl Harbor on a country he was negotiating with, and then joined in on the attack? Take THAT for trying to negotiate with me.

but Putin has gotten it in his head that he can prevail and get Odessa. Putin is also getting pressured by China not to 'lose' the conflict.

I'm always impressed by these feats of mind-reading. "Putin fears X". "Putin wants X". It's 3.5 years, none of it has been remotely accurate.

Of course, this "PUTIN WANTS ALL OF UKRAINE" has been a lie from Day 1. You don't invade a country you want to conquer in its entirety with 70,000 men. I know most pro-war people can't find Ukraine on a map, but it's larger than Poland... which was invaded with more than a million in 1939 - and that was expecting a Soviet stab in the back from the east.

These people don't care. They just want war. They sabotaged the Minsk agreements, they sabotaged the Istanbul peace talks - they thought they could get Russia to its knees with their ridiculous sanctions. And now they're doing it again.

Trump needs to serve Putin his own ass.

YES MOAR WAR!

Iran came after.

China was uncharacteristically on record that they didn't want to see Putin lose.

Putin tried for regime change and install a puppet government with his gambit. It failed, his secondary objective was to cut Ukraine in half and take most of the coastal line. They're still trying to get Odessa and reduce Ukraine to a rump state.

Iran came after.

And you were very happy with that as well, I assume.

Putin tried for regime change and install a puppet government with his gambit

Like the US did in 2014?

his secondary objective was to cut Ukraine in half and take most of the coastal line.

Where are you getting that?

They're still trying to get Odessa and reduce Ukraine to a rump state.

He should, but he's not going to.

So now my question: why do you care about a fake country that wasn't even there before 1991? Because it's a US colony? Or some other reason? Maybe you own a lot of stock in the arms industry.

Many of Russia's claims are based on its Soviet legacy ("the collapse of the Soviet Union was the biggest catastrophe of the 20th century") and in the same vein we're supposed to ignore Ukraine's history, because that was allegedly a creation of the Soviet Union.

Many of Russia's claims are based on its Soviet legacy ("the collapse of the Soviet Union was the biggest catastrophe of the 20th century")

My friend, you're so possessed by propaganda that you can't even quote it right. He called it the biggest GEOPOLITICAL catastrophe. Which it was for them. Russia lost half its population and went from being a superpower to a vassal state of the US, and its people immiserated.

Now, you might like this, but at least be honest about it, instead of pretending that you're doing it for "democracy" like your Iraq War. You're not warmongering for "democracy" or "human rights". You're getting hundreds of thousands of people killed for the dirty political interests of neocons.

and in the same vein we're supposed to ignore Ukraine's history, because that was allegedly a creation of the Soviet Union.

Allegedly? Please name me the "Ukraine" that predated the 1917 Boslhevik revolution. Thank you.

If Ukraine was a creation of the Soviet Union and Putin seeks to reinvigorate and revive the Soviet Union, then why is he destroying a creation of the Soviet Union? Putin is betraying the legacy of the Soviet Union by attempting to destroy Ukraine, because of his ineffectual attempts to control and dominate Ukraine.

If Ukraine was a creation of the Soviet Union

If? So you don't know any of the history. You're just a Ted Cruz who knows nothing about the countries you want to depopulate. Like most Ukraine morons, you can't even find the non-country on a map.

Putin seeks to reinvigorate and revive the Soviet Union,

Do keep up, that's what you easily manipulated Russia Derangement Syndrome fools keep screaming.

because of his ineffectual attempts

If so, why are you fat Americans screaming about it so much?

Copium: say you’re sending weapons as a threat to end the war before the Russian economy supposedly collapses in September/October like all the leftists are saying? Maybe force Russia’s hand to settle with what they’ve captured?

Man, I just want the fighting to stop.
