Putin isn't playing ball. Trump gave him the off-ramp but Putin has gotten it in his head that he can prevail and get Odessa. Putin is also getting pressured by China not to 'lose' the conflict.
Surely, you're not buying that after he gave the green-light to do a Pearl Harbor on a country he was negotiating with, and then joined in on the attack? Take THAT for trying to negotiate with me.

I'm always impressed by these feats of mind-reading. "Putin fears X". "Putin wants X". It's 3.5 years, none of it has been remotely accurate.
Of course, this "PUTIN WANTS ALL OF UKRAINE" has been a lie from Day 1. You don't invade a country you want to conquer in its entirety with 70,000 men. I know most pro-war people can't find Ukraine on a map, but it's larger than Poland... which was invaded with more than a million in 1939 - and that was expecting a Soviet stab in the back from the east.
These people don't care. They just want war. They sabotaged the Minsk agreements, they sabotaged the Istanbul peace talks - they thought they could get Russia to its knees with their ridiculous sanctions. And now they're doing it again.
China was uncharacteristically on record that they didn't want to see Putin lose.
Putin tried for regime change and install a puppet government with his gambit. It failed, his secondary objective was to cut Ukraine in half and take most of the coastal line. They're still trying to get Odessa and reduce Ukraine to a rump state.
And you were very happy with that as well, I assume.

Like the US did in 2014?
his secondary objective was to cut Ukraine in half and take most of the coastal line.
Where are you getting that?
They're still trying to get Odessa and reduce Ukraine to a rump state.
He should, but he's not going to.
So now my question: why do you care about a fake country that wasn't even there before 1991? Because it's a US colony? Or some other reason? Maybe you own a lot of stock in the arms industry.
Many of Russia's claims are based on its Soviet legacy ("the collapse of the Soviet Union was the biggest catastrophe of the 20th century") and in the same vein we're supposed to ignore Ukraine's history, because that was allegedly a creation of the Soviet Union.

Trump needs to serve Putin his own ass.

YES MOAR WAR!
Iran came after.

Yeah, and they will. They're winning.
