I've seen multiple articles bemoaning that Copper Flagg may garner attention because white Americans will want to see a white American player. These people constantly talking about representation are unhappy if those rules are applied to white Americans.
There's not a ton of black American players in the MLB and there's a congressional committee to 'solve' the problem. The hypocrisy is off the chart.
The business model revolves around white people accepting that the majority of the players are black. When that consensus narrative breaks apart, the business model unravels. That's why they're going after white tribalism.

Blacks don’t like seeing Whites succeed in sports. They think since they’ve infested most of them for decades that they own it and it belongs to them.
You can only sell all-Black teams to all-White audiences for so long until Whites don’t feel they’re represented anymore. We’re at that point now.

All the hype around Cooper Flagg was manufactured by talking heads sports shows to prop up Duke and the ACC.
Then the GMs and owners of every NBA team bought into the hype too. 18 year old white boys NEVER go first overall in the draft.
