According to Owens' own memoirs, Hitler did shake his hand (but FDR snubbed him). Why do we sit idly by while our children are taught lies and force fed propaganda?
I was told that Hitler did NOT shake his hand, but NOT because Owens was black, but because the International Olympic Committee told him he had to congratulate "all winners or no winners." He chose the latter.

I read that Lutz Long died in WW2 and they were friends until his death and he asked Owens to tell his son about him and he did.

Owen's was literally a "last minute" addition to the Olympic team. He'd received little formal training, he just had raw speed. I'd bet Lutz sat down with him and chatted a lot about proper training & track techniques. That would make me like him, for sure! Especially since the Whites on America's team were (probably) total jerks towards Owens. :/
