I'll say this every time the phrase comes up, but that has been massively misappropriated, and is now just a lie. No matter how anyone feels about the initial premise, that's not the implementation. A melting pot would be vastly preferable, as it implies assimilation. We're told we're a "melting pot," while what's actually shoved down our throats is multiculturalism, which is a horrendous abomination.

The usual suspects that conceived and romantised the word do not care about social cohesion in white society. A lot of times when I see them, all they want is sow discord and inflict divisiveness within well-functioned society yet they get incredibly offended outright become hostile when you ask, why not do the same in Israel?
