I'll say this every time the phrase comes up, but that has been massively misappropriated, and is now just a lie. No matter how anyone feels about the initial premise, that's not the implementation. A melting pot would be vastly preferable, as it implies assimilation. We're told we're a "melting pot," while what's actually shoved down our throats is multiculturalism, which is a horrendous abomination.

Yes, and with a cohesive culture, as above. If we can bring in some foreigners (in relatively small numbers), and integrate them to our culture, that's one thing. But if they're not meshing, even one percent is too much.
The usual suspects that conceived and romantised the word do not care about social cohesion in white society. A lot of times when I see them, all they want is sow discord and inflict divisiveness within well-functioned society yet they get incredibly offended outright become hostile when you ask, why not do the same in Israel? That makes my blood boil whenever I see that hypocrisy and the excuses and feel-good sophistry they pull, all kinds of logical fallacies they utilise like motte and bailey and gaslighting. I always think that diversity leads to lack of diversity. They want one mass of light brown people with brown hair. Once they breed the whites out of whites and breed the asians out of some of the more nationalistic asians.. its gonna be a boring mass of tan color people.
