Women really should be banned from making "lel relatable" webcomics. It just creates this horrible feedback loop of politics and emotional spiraling.

I think only the one with the catmom didn't fall into this trap, afaik.

I almost wonder if we should just ban women from social media altogether. It seems like it has, effectively, no positive outcome for women. Best it can do is create a Longhouse for some of the pretty ones.

At that point I think banning social media period is more healthy.

Because LinkedIn proves that guys aren't much better in terms of keeping it a useful and healthy thing when its catered to their interests.

Social media is this century's asbestos.

There's a reason why people cite Uncle Ted when talking about social media. The vast majority of humans cannot handle social circles greater than ~100 people, and cannot integrate technology into their lives in a logical way.

I'm on LinkedIn for three reasons: To make it easier to find work if I decide to move on, to have a pulse on what's going on in the industry, and to know who to avoid in the industry. I never post anything unless its to promote something I worked on.

The last reason is easy to fill because sooner or later someone always goes full redditor and writes a wall of text starting with "I can no longer stay silent over bad orange man shitting on everything. So here's what I need all of you and the whole rest of the world to do right now..."

There's also the occasional gem where a boomer CEO complains about how lazy people are and how hard it is to find good employees. Those are fun to read; especially when the comments section has a lot of posts.

There are plenty of valid uses for all the social medias. I use Facebook (my only one) to keep contact with my poor friends who can't afford a phone or simply very old school friends who I'd never text but am marginally interested in their life.

But there are many men who use LinkedIn as god and those connections as real major things. Its a huge part of "Hustle Culture" and guys whose entire existence is to use and abuse it to groom impressionable young men into being slimy douches whose life revolves around money for zero value ventures (that rarely work) and other nonsense.

Its like Discord for 20 something dudes with a lot of spunk but no sense.

I don't almost wonder. I know for a fact that it's a good idea. For every porn addicted man there are thousands of women whose social media rotted brains make the porn addict look like the personification of mental health.

If attention for women is like porn for men; then I think we have an answer for why it should be restricted.

I'm at the point where I think women shouldn't be allowed to read or go outside without a familial male chaperone.

Yes. Obviously.

There's also a good case to be made for banning them from the internet entirely.

However at this point I'll settle for banning social media itself because that's a more realistic goal.

women are going to be women. that's why you can't live with them and you can't live without them.

none of this would work without the reddit manipulation machine. reddit should just be banned. use the alien enemies act against it's board. send spez to CECOT.

The comic where the family are all talking anthropomorphic cats? I have a feeling I've seen a retarded take by that one along political lines so wouldn't be so sure it's exempt.

I'm sure its had a retarded take, we all have them sometimes, but I can at least expect a comic with a joke in it most of the time when I see it posted somewhere.

Queen of Wands creator fell off the face of the internet and didn't have any drama during her tenure from what I recall. Definitely one of my favorite comics and really did a good job of capturing the feeling of the era in which it was written. It's a nice little time capsule to revisit now and again.
