Let's be honest, it was never going to work out especially with the current direction of Disney. Ryan Reynolds only got away with Deadpool and Wolverine because Disney were so desperate they gave him so much freedom.
Given that was followed up by Falcon America I doubt they'd give the kind of freedom again to make a good Blade film as even the 3rd one wasn't as bad as a lot of what Marvel made post Endgame.

Supposedly scenes were shot with Captain Marvel and She Hulk but Reynolds left them on the cutting room floor. He's still a tard for what happened with the stunt actress in 2 but playing Disney and Marvel like that gets a shitlord's grin and nod.
Probably because the script rumor was it was another “main hero isn’t the real hero, super awesome female character is the real hero”. They can’t stop themselves from burning money.
I was going to make a joke about Bleed the kickass girlboss having to save the day because Blade is an idiot. But that would be ''transmysoginistic'' to imply a link between menstruators and womanhood.
In CURRENT_YEAR, it would have to be Blade transitioning into Bleed. Stunning and Brave. Shining a light so strong the patriarchal opressive Orange vampires burst into flames as if basking in the Sun.

Rumours are even worse than that, Blade was supposedly only the 4th lead in his own film. It would have been like Mad Mad: Fury Road but sidelining Max even more for Furiosa and the other women.
Amazing they can’t just do a movie where a dude is killing vampires. I have no doubt the rumors about them wanting to surround him with much more capable women are true
They could have always pretended Blade was never black in the first place until they "fixed" him. Just like they pretended the Blade movies never existed, all so they could claim Black Panther was the first ever black superhero movie.
"There's only been one Blade... and there's only ever gonna be one Blade." - Blade, 2025.
He got that right.
Makes what happens immediately after that line all the funnier now, but for the wrong reasons intended.
This is pretty good from the article.
thinking the same thing, stole this link from the comments on the article

Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill.
Torn between "lol, lmao" and "womp, womp" for this. Either way, the best outcome if true.
Wesley Snipes is amazing and I'm willing to entertain that his tax fraud was some kind of CIA frame job
It basically was. Look at others who did the same thing, or worse, but received far less harsh penalties.

Give us one more with Wesley Snipes. He still has it.
maybe he even escaped the void after deadpool 3.
makes sense, how are they gonna capitalize on racebaiting if the character was already black!?!
...and done so much better in the past

Isn't Steel still older than both?
yeah, but DC probably doesn't wanna talk about that too much...
personally, i thought the movie was fun, corny as all hell, but fun.
Good, if 21st studios can't even comprehend the basic concept of "badass, broody action hero kills vampires", then they shouldn't touch Blade.
