I have fond memories of Voyager. Mostly because when I visited the US as a teen I bought a stack of Voyager (and Dragonlance) books and it was a great way to improve my English as a non-native speaker, well, reader.
That said, I'm not touching modern day Star Trek with a ten foot pole. I'll stick with the memories, thank you very much.
I concur. It was shaky for the first three seasons. Then picked up speed and had some amazing episodes. Then it sputtered out in the last season yet remained still okay.
It’s definitely the worst of the big three series from the 80’s and 90’s.
Just to steelman the series, there is an obvious plot thread to follow about Janeway's climb to Admiral, and her decision to go back in time to help Voyager get home.
I don't think any of the current writers at Paramount can pull it off, and will fuck this up horribly, but the story is there, waiting to be told.
Harry had sexual intercourse while on duty, this is an unforgivable breach of Starfleet protocol and will follow him for the rest of his life. For Harry, this was probably worth it.
There would be little left to work with. The Picard series already stomped all over Seven's character and pulled out the Borg as the last minute big bad, also Tuvok was kinda fucked and implied to be in changeling custody at best. Voyager simply didn't have the recurring guests to be worth the same treatment.
... Isn't that just her face shopped onto Old Leia?
Also: THIS IMAGE IS A NON-PROFIT FAN POSTER, right there on the bottom.
Down voted OP for not doing the most basic validation

Voyager had a lot of issues, and quality was all over. Lots of great parts, but lots of really stupid ones.

Thankfully Kate Mulgrew has aged so poorly that not even feminists are retarded enough to bring her back to headline a new series.
It doesn't help that the character Kathryn Janeway was explicitly named after feminist author Elizabeth Janeway.
“It’s Janeway or the highway.”
🎼 On the the road again,
I just can’t wait to get on the road again,
I enjoyed Voyager. Doubt this will be anything like it

Let's go back into every IP and change every skirt into a girl boss. Sure this may be fake, but is it too different from what they want to do?
I can safetly speak for most people including the majority of Star Trek fans when I say:
Who gives a fuck about this anymore?
I'd watch it if they hired SFDebris to write.
Can't wait to see who they cast as Demonic Shoulder Spider.
I wonder if Harry has made captain yet?
Has he even made Lieutenant yet? Even Tom was a Lieutenant, coming straight out of prison, getting demoted, and getting promoted back to the rank!
Data was Ops. He was the third officer!
Yep, and official rank Lieutenant Commander.

I would watch a mini-series featuring the worst Star Trek captain getting court martialed, but probably not more than 3 episodes.
