I doubt it had many viewers. More people will talk about it after the fact, thus ensuring that the Grammys garner sufficient social attention to remain "relevant" for advertisers next year. From the comments I've seen, the show was just a pandering leftist circlejerk publicity stunt designed to rile up "conservatives" so they keep this garbage in the news/outrage cycle.
Oh, and they just invented a new 'first category' to double-applause Beyonce for her 'groundbreaking' work.
In winning album of the year with “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé has become the first Black woman to win the top prize in the 21st century. The last was Lauryn Hill with “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” 26 years ago. Before her was Natalie Cole and Whitney Houston. That means Beyoncé is only the fourth Black woman to win album of the year at the Grammys.
The first Black woman to win the top prize in the 21st century. :') :') :')
She’s way up there for sure. It’s like if the Black Panther movie was a music career. Just millions of guilt-ridden whites propping up a mediocre talent because she’s “black but not too black”. Beyoncé is pale as fuck and has feminine facial features, so she’s eminently tolerable to the masses.
People did the same thing with a bunch of black music producers like Kanye and Pharrell (sp?). There dudes put out a few solid pop songs and blacks - along with woke whites - treated them like Mozart. It’s a combination of unrestrained negro worship and overcompensation for, you know, the unfortunate reality of lowered expectations.
The Beatles were the most recognizable group in the world, only were actually a thing for 7 years and during said run, sold over one billion records during a time the world had half the population it does now.
But the Beatles are obviously wildly talented. They wrote some of the best music and melodies of all time. They're nowhere close to being my favourite band, but they're obviously magnificent. Why are people re-writing this particular history?
They do the same thing with U2, but there it makes sense, because that band really fell off a cliff at some point.
People? I'm one of the only people I know with this opinion. Moreover, I think they are over-rated because making catchy pop music isn't actually that hard (there's literally a formula now adays). Making complicated and sophisticated music is more difficult and that wasn't really their mainstay.
I'd bet more people are looking for the nude photos of Ye's date when he crashed the awards than watched the actual awards inside, since she showed up with thin films of a top and skirt on that were absolutely transparent.
Let me get straight to the point:
How many people watched this shit?

Hasn’t that been the case for a decade now?
I didn't even know it was happening

Oh look, the important part about how special she ain't.
Funny how they didn’t make up any special awards for Darius Rucker when he went country.

I'm starting to believe that Beyonce is the most over-rated artist of all time. Possibly more than The Beatles.

overrated? sure. but calling Beyonce mediocre is a bit delusional. she’s an objectively talented vocalist and performer
Quality? Probably.
Numbers, hell no.
The Beatles were the most recognizable group in the world, only were actually a thing for 7 years and during said run, sold over one billion records during a time the world had half the population it does now.
Well, I kind of assumed that's what that that means. Obvious sales numbers are obvious. I was specifically talking about the quality of the music.
The Beatles aren't a bad group, it's just that they're fairly simplistic.
I thought I was crazy for not being in to "The Beatles" - there is no song of theirs that I like
I think they are good, and I think some are bangers, but they aren't actually wildly talented.

Public exposure is another one of those "Rules for Thee"
Gay losers
I still don’t know what the Grammys are.
They’re parasites similar to lice or bed-bugs.
Huh, guess it's that time of year again. Not that I even knew it was happening
Award shows are purely a marketing gimmick and have nothing to do with 'votes' or quality of music.
