I don’t think people fully understand how much damage that pathetic “imagine” stunt did to celebrity worship culture. That video moved the needle in a bad way for almost everyone who isn’t a celebrity. If you liked celebrities before, you became more apathetic after. If you were apathetic, you became disdainful. If you were disdainful, you became outright hostile. And if you were rich and intelligent, you were mad at the narcissistic celebrities for needlessly kicking the hornets’ nest. I think it was a watershed moment today hasn’t gotten nearly enough analysis.
I feel the same way right now with the deluge of articles about "SEE WHICH CELEBRITY HOUSES BURNT DOWN" and the individual "WATCH THEM CRY ABOUT IT" follow up articles.
I've seen more "who the fuck cares, this is distasteful" from everyone about that than people remotely sympathetic. Its complete hate for them trying to make it about themselves from anyone who remotely sees it.
James Wood is one of the few that I actually care more about, that I've seen in interviews commenting about the fires and losing his home. I do feel sorry for him.
But yeah, I really couldn't give less of a fuck for basically every single other one.
Is it? That's really good. However, there was talk of looters going around the abandoned houses, grabbing everything they could during the chaos.. Was his house broken into?
What if I already hated them with the intensity of a thousand suns? 2016 and Trumps election did that to me. I see them as no more than dancing monkey and when the monkey keeps thinking it can do politics it needs to be brought down a notch or two. I am so tired or celebrities, I welcome AI making them obsolete.
Apparently Carter and his wife both requested that song at their funeral and it was “their favorite” song. This was the “Baptist Sunday School Teacher” southern Christian president.
I think he was a good person, but he was also a Reddit-tier moron. So his intentions are good, but when he does actually manage to do good things it's by accident.
His post presidency work building houses and living in a very inexpensive little thing he built himself for 60 straight years isn't made up and speaks of a far more humble, kind man than probably any president in the last century.
So at the very least if it was a meme, he was living the lie. Which is still above the vast majority of politicians.
When the faggotariat says right wingers are media illiterate, they're retards who don't understand textual interpretation. However, it is in moments like this where we see how much of the insult is correct.
Media Literacy is how many people think "Blue (Da ba De)" is a song about depression, when the band literally said they picked the color at random and the words are nonsense.
Its phrase used to describe people who want to feel smarter than you reading the same words you are, so they invent "layers" to everything. Sometimes its there, sometimes it doesn't fucking matter that its there.
I've always hated that song. Remember in 2020 when all the celebrities were singing it on zoom to help us poor plebs?

All I saw were hate-filled leftist goblins gleefully watching Woods cry on CNN. Wonder how they feel now that his home is confirmed still standing.

No idea.
Re: the looting, I've seen some deboonking saying it's a black neighborhood trying to carry their own shit out, but who knows.

Is the "he was a bad president but a good person" real or just a gop meme like how Bush is now buddy buddy with democrats

Don't know wasn't alive then, but it FEELS like Rose tinted glasses were used looking at his life.
I wasn’t alive either, but I do remember my grandfather saying “at least this new Bill Clinton guy isn’t another idiot peanut farmer”
He was a piece of shit who let American hostages sweat it out in Iran for 444 days while he shoved peanuts up his ass. Fuck Jimmy Carter.
he's been doing charity work my whole life

When the song was over, they all cracked open a Bud LiGhBT.
I'm surprised Dylan wasn't there talking about journey into girl hood and there weren't 20 fat black lesbians twerking.
Imagine all the dildos, in Garths aaaaaasssssssssss
It isn’t hard to do… 🎶
Jimmy Carter was woke!
