Random Christmas related question.

Anyone have a favorite Christmas album? For me it’s a tie between Nat King Cole and Sinatra.

Can't go wrong with Bing Crosby, "White Christmas."

I have his Christmas Album (got his whole catalogue) and it’s in my top 5. His version is the most iconic and the one by the Drifters is great too.

Yeah there's a reason the eponymous song in the album is still a favorite. I love a rich deep male vocal, so Bing followed by Nat King Cole is my comfort zone.

Dean Martin - A Winter Romance

Tony Bennet - Snowfall

Bing Crosby - Bing at Christmas

Any crooner worth his weight has a great Christmas album. Can’t really go wrong with any of them.

My grandfather bought this set in the 60s before I was born.

The first 2 discs have been played every year in my grandparents house then later my parents house (it was later duped to cassette, then mini disc) they’ve re-released these on CDs but not in this exact set so I had to pull from various CDs to reconstruct it as MP3s that live on.

This one had a good subset of the album collection - not all and it had a few different tracks that weren’t on the set but it’s still good.

That has most, if not all the first album from the set. The tricky one to find, digitally, is Richard Benson & his Orchestra 's Christmas Suite for Orchestra. It's a non-stop medley that comprises the entirety of side 1 of album #2. Really those are the best of the set. The other albums are the Hallellujah Chorus, etc; Good stuff, but they rarely got played.

I like that they only covered the classical religious carols, which are so much better than the modern shite… even most of the stuff from the 1950s I’m not a big fan of… it’s ok (and was mostly written by non-christians) but it’s nothing compared to the beautiful classical gospel choral music of the 19th and 18th century and previous, and I love when modern bands and artists cover that stuff.

I sing in the choir at church and we do a Lessons and Carols followed by a chili cook off (Hey it’s Texas) around mid December. I never get tired of singing traditional carols and reflecting on salvation through Christ

Temple Square Tabernacle Choir have a banger of a Christmas playlist on Youtube, and their album with the rest of the songs adds on more.

Sinatra is up there for me mostly because it's what my dad would play around this time of year.

Also A Charlie Brown Christmas, which is also a family favorite.

Pat Boone was always my go-to for Christmas carols.

But this version of O Come Emmanuel is really beautiful. A capella with a great bass voice.
