Does anyone get the impression the reason they are pursuing this is to undermine parents who trust their kids to act more independently?

Like I've walked 2 miles by myself as a kid, lived rural so would walk to the shops by myself with pocket money for a treat. I've been home alone when I was 7 because I was at that age responsible to know where everything was and what not to touch until parents got home.

This seems targeted at these parents so they can't execute this level if trust so they are forced to babysit what should be highly independent kids in the hopes they become resentful of their parents. Might be over thinking it but then we look at all the other examples of the authorities seeking to undermine the parent/child relationship.

Its small town law enforcement.

They get off on this kind of petty authority flexing and bullying their way around. Especially during the probably 2-3 times a year they get to act like "real cops" instead of town nannies and paperwork bitches.

It doesn't need to be that deep when this problem is older than any ideology.

I've heard conflicting information about all this - not sure if it was local police or the Sheriff's office, for one, and hoo BOY does it make a difference sometimes - but the one piece of information that's being left out sheds light on everything - the police/sheriff that picked the kid up?

Female.

I'm putting my money down that the female cop/sheriff got her panties twisted when the mom didn't RESPEC HER AUTHORITAY and decided to make a big fuss out of all of this, evidenced by how she dropped the kid off and then later CAME BACK.

Women in positions of authority. Not even once.

I can see it now, cop brings kid home with holier than thou attitude about it and kat fight ensues.

Yeah I made an assumption there, but the seat of the county town is a population of 1200 itself. Its a dead county in all ways so even the sheriff of the whole county is overseeing less than most local police departments elsewhere.

But it being a female cop makes a lot of sense.

Most of my childhood was spent either wandering through the woods or walking back and forth from the county library. And I was armed a lot of that time.

It's just further pussying for the sake of postmodernist bullshit. They do this to degrade us from what we're meant to be, what we're supposed to be. Because the nation we should be would be burning the guilty at the stake.

The prosecutor said they'll drop the charges so long as the 10 year old installs a GPS tracker on his phone so that the state can monitor his movements, so yes.

The government when they find out Gen X'ers are allowing kids to drink from garden hoses like they did back in the day.

It's not complicated. They just want to fuck kids. The foster system is the number one vector by which they obtain kids to rape.
