California Law Mandating Indoctrination Of Students On Climate Change Goes Into Effect This Year (archive.ph)

They don't need to mandate it because teachers are more than happy to push this shit themselves. My biology teacher made us watch "An Inconvenient Truth" back in 2008. I'm pretty sure it made a bunch of predictions that failed to come true in the years since.

They have been saying that global warming/climate change was going to kill us in the next 5 years since the 1970s. Pretty sure that never happened.

Yeah I grew up in the "ozone layer is collapsing" stage of the grift

Yep. We spent days discussing the evils of canned hairspray and CFCs. Our textbooks were a little behind and said that acid rain was going to kill us all. It really blows my mind when I hear people of a certain age discuss climate change like its nuclear bombs in the cold war era. We've blown by so many "extinction event" predictions I can't even keep them all straight.

TBF, we largely stopped using CFCs and the ozone layer recovered largely as a result of that.

There's no way to verify that, though.

i still remember the video we watched in 5th grade about how in the future we'd have to wear hazmat suits at recess

No, back then it was global cooling and we would have an Ice Age in the next few years. Oh and the ozone layer stuff too...

That movie absolutely did make predictions that didn’t come to pass. Watching that movie when it came out made me an environmental nut. Watching it again years later made me hate climate doomsayers.

Teachers are bullying retards who missed their opportunity to live a real life. So, the last thing they want, is kids ready to go out into the world and do what they could never bring themselves to.

It's why they have to focus on "culture" so much. It's the only tool these worthless losers have.

Archive sites are slower than shit.

Anyway, so let's assume the climate is changing rapidly.

So what? We're in a global cold period. Based on their own data, it's been much warmer before, and probably will be again. The eco freaks who think we should leave earth alone are actually wanting to control it.

Weird. It's almost like it's all bullshit to grab power. Almost... Like......

I remember reading an essay showing the benefits of an overall warmer climate especially for farming

Depends on the area. My bigger issue is letting all the dindus in from third world shitholes because they refuse to change, and the left will want to import them here

That’s true. Definitely a more pressing matter but I have no doubt they will try to use climate change as a pretense for covid style restrictions. Already doing that in some countries

They're a one-trick pony. When people were talking about an 'epidemic' and public health emergencies, they started calling racism that. When people were locked down because of government responses to the virus, they started calling for 'climate lockdowns'.

How about a woke lockdown - all wokies have to stay inside their homes or basement or what have you, insofar as they are not too socially stunted to do so already. That would actually solve most issues.

Any and all climate shifts will be horrific for certain areas and wonderful for others. Like actual extinction for a lot of animals/plants in one spot and then others completely overrun with the exploding populations. That's just how fragile a lot of evolutionary lines are.

But that's also the natural course, as history is littered with it happening completely on its own over and over for millions of years before humans even arrived. Whatever effects humans can have on it will be within the Earth's own personal cycle.

try archive.is or ghostarchive. those tend to be much faster than archive.ph

archive.is and archive.ph are aliases.

Is there any reason one should be slower?

no idea, I just know archive.is is always faster for me

Archive sites are slower than shit.

If the site doesn't load, I can't read the article. The idea goes into oblivion.

site doesn't load

Is it slow or does it not load?

I can't read the article

One particular link to the article didn't work for you. Did you actually want to read the article? Doesn't seem like it would be hard to overcome this burden.

The idea goes into oblivion.

"If I don't get what I want right away, my mind literally stops working, and ideas are obliterated by the short passage of time."

You're just a victim of the world, aren't you?

Both. Slow at best, doesn't load at worst.

Yes, I want to read the article, but without even a link to find the article, how can I? It's a dead end.

You're just a victim of the world, aren't you?

And you're a massive faggot.

Out of ALL the climate change they say will 'end the world' why can't I have the one we REALLY need?

Just one big shift on a certain fault line, that's not too hard, not like I'm asking for Yellowstone to blow it's top.

They're way behind Europe. I was indoctrinated on 'acid rain' in school.

Mandating it just means we can finally see what they are doing and saying, unlike prior where they all did it anyway but completely on their own shooting from the hip.

Its still bad, but its an accidental improvement.

Don't know what goes into the education degrees, but I can say that it was absolutely not a "requirement" in public education lesson plans that I know of before this.

It certainly was added onto most people's science classes when they learned about how the weather works or somewhere else it was kinda relevant, but it always seemed to be the teacher's discretion on it as a "modern climate change" topic rather than being forced upon them to teach it.

If it was, it would have come up a lot in standardized testing, which is basically what all K-12 lesson plans are built backwards from. But because its such a loose canon that nobody can ever agree on The Science of for more than a week, it never made the cut on such a bureaucratic testing process.

Sending your kids to public school is tantamount to child abuse.

The dumbing down continues. John T. Gatto was right, but never addressed public school political indoctrination as far as I know.
