Longer than that. There used to be a site called the ExtinctionClock that had every failed climate prediction going back to the 1800s. It seems like it's been taken down for unknown reasons.
They have been saying that global warming/climate change was going to kill us in the next 5 years since the 1970s. Pretty sure that never happened.

TBF, we largely stopped using CFCs and the ozone layer recovered largely as a result of that.

No, back then it was global cooling and we would have an Ice Age in the next few years. Oh and the ozone layer stuff too...
