Shadowbanning should be treated as a crime.
Agreed. It's far worse than outright banning
Shadowbanning is fraud, straight up.
Shadowbanning should be a crime. But I don't know if shadowbanning is necessarily happening here.
It seems likely that this would catch a shit ton of dislikes and reports from Mr Beast fans, and generally if something is getting a ton of dislikes relative to views, it should be be hidden because people dislike it.
The video has over half a million views on a 13k subscriber channel. That doesn't sound like shadowbanning to me.
If you type the exact title of the video in Youtube, it will not show up, or at least wasn't yesterday. Many of the comments confirm this. I haven't checked today. You had to type the channel name and then find it that way.
I found it because it was shared on Twitter. That's how most people are finding it. It's being shared widely on Twitter, Reddit, etc.
The views are because it's going viral on other platforms where people are linking it. Those views are in spite of the fact that Youtube hides it from the search, not because of it.
Fraud? I'd wager that's the least of the possible criminal activity.
He was making this video before all that stuff came up. He addresses that he has another part coming out about that specifically.
But this is significant because MrBeast is seen by people as mother Theresa, just perfectly selfless, when the reality is, the money he gives away are to his already rich friends; he promotes gambling to children making promises that they could be the one winning, when reality is the people chosen aren't random, the outcomes aren't random, he claims his videos aren't faked and this guy systematically dismantles that and shows many examples of fakery. He runs illegal sweepstakes, etc.
Somewhere, at IRS headquarters, a giant red light is flashing at somebody's watch panel.
I'm guessing MrBeast gives enough money to the right politicians, FBI and DOJ bureaucrats to make this all go away. It'll be interesting to see if the IRS gives them all the finger and takes him down anyways.
It was the same with Capone. He spent so much time and effort buying off the Bureau of Investigation (the FBI's predecessor) that he was blindsided when the IRS swooped in and stuffed him into a cell.
This is why the old way of having the IRS, FBI and Treasury agents have overlap made sense. (As much as it pains my old 'shiner heart to say that.) You can bribe the local G-Men, but can you buy off the G-Men, T-Men and the Revenuers, too?
Pretty sure his handler agency will take care of that stuff.
Ah, the first snowball.
ohhhh noooo not muh illegal sweepstakes
YouTube REALLY want to risk this much exposure? They'd be better just remaining quiet while that supposed third party investigation is on-going.
Doing this brings into question how safe YouTube is for kids since that's what started this and you only need to look at YouTube kids to know how bad it is...
On a semi related note, I was watching the latest SunnyV2 video, half the comments were about the video's content, the other half was basically vindicating him for his Chris video.
Kind of puts into perspective the convenient removal of Dr. Disrespect, since he obviously was not a Lefty. They could have taken him down at any point since the scandal first happened, but conveniently decided to do so this year, just ahead of the ramp up of the American election season.
This is all bullshit and part of a 'social experiment'.
A pedo is a pedo not a Minor Attracted Person and a he is a he and not a she.
Away and jump off a cliff you gang of weirdos!
This is not actually about that man who pretends he's a woman by being a transvestite. That topic is it's own thing.
Everyone already knows and weighs in on that. The point is people always go "MrBeast is a good person though who doesn't do anything wrong". I've always gotten the sense from him like I did about Ellen.
When someone tries to run on "I'm such a nice, inoffensive person" it sets off alarm bells for me.
I also always noticed the people who get prizes are so very "millenial". They're never some blue collar construction worker drinking a six pack of beer on his break. It's all very pod person, the same type of people winning.
This video confirms what I always suspected about Mr Beasts videos.
Like I said in another comment Im friends with someone that knows the dude. That's his actual personality according to what I heard. I'd also say his whole shtick is clearly making massive profit off of relatively inexpensive philanthropy just like a ngo
Plus promoting gambling to kids
If anyone else here has a kid that likes to watch this creep, this video should be required viewing for child and parents together. I've never liked the cut of this guy's jib and I've tried to explain that this stuff is fake before.
This should be common household knowledge, in my opinion. Edit: He's not the only degenerate that youtube props up to grab kids attention.
... I had no idea any of this shit was going on.
Illegal lotteries, lol.
P.S. : It really is shadowbanned, won't even show in my video history.
Not only is it shadow banned, I can't play it in the background on NewPipe. I know Newpipe has been getting targeted by YT a lot lately, but any other video plays just fine in the background. They really don't want people to watch this.
Ok, so it's Nickelodeon. That's interesting, I guess.
I never thought for a minute that anything Beast did was 'real'. He's making content.
Maybe I'm jaded, but teasing subscribers with giveaways doesn't faze me.
After I watched the whole video, he's doing sketchy stuff because it's directed at children the the mentally infirm. I'm not shocked; it's not like I idolize the guy. Yeah, not a lot of Beast fans on this forum; most of us are adults.
Yeah nothing about this is surprising at all lmao. It was super obvious when he first appeared on YouTube
I just thought he was the endgame of clickbait. "I give away 10 thousand dollars to random Los Angelinos." Dumb.
Give us a synopsis of this hour long diatribe please. I am not going to burn time on drama surrounding normie e-celebs.
It's a long and heavily sourced video going into the ways that MrBeast is unethical and sometimes outright illegal.
He fakes his videos, redirects his random prizes to people he knows, lies and makes kids think they'll win prizes by watching him, and holds illegal gambling with his target audience of preteens. And most people suspect this, but an hour of proof is solid and convincing.
This isn't really an "I hate MrBeast" drama video. The guy who made it does hate him, but after watching it I think it'll be mostly a useful video to send to parents (or maybe the older MrBeast fans who are aging out) to convince them or their kids to stop being fans and see through the fraud.
where is the "heavily sourced" part of the video? i can not see any sources linked in the desc. tldr by lethn seems much more accurate.
The youtube era really has led to the degradation of the internet as a whole. Written articles take less time and effort to make while being far quicker to process and easier to reference - their only downsides to creators are less valuable space to shove advertising and the fact that fucking morons cannot read.
Everything about humans is fake and gay, and always was.
The... shitty burger joint?
