So I went from the Desbians to Fedora and apparently brought the pozzed with me. Next time I reinstall, I’m probably going to Arch, so if anyone of you is using Arch, you’ve got about a year or two to move on.
Why have the insane leftists made some quick, easy, and deep inroads into open source? Well, it was a space dominated by awkward, intelligent, nerdy, and non-physical guys. Of course there are millions of people in open source and this is painting with a broad stroke, but it's also largely true.
Some of those guys have left projects or tried to start others, and most often, those things fizzle.
The majority of the people doing the actual work in open source just keep their heads down, keep coding, they feel virtuous and like they are good allies, and they don't toe the line because they know what has happened to others.
As we've noticed many, many times, the aggressive SJW activists almost always work in community (jannies) and SOMETIMES in documentation/testing.
The last time I went to PAX (~10 years ago) there were tons of panels on woke shit and every one of them had 99% empty theaters. I'm talking 5 people in a theater that holds 1000.
This was the same event where I submitted a panel where I and some other devs that I knew would talk about a game development. It was rejected because it would be a "promotional panel" since we would be talking about products we had worked on. So I would have to pay $4000 to do the panel. I declined and just never went to pax again.
But all the wokies stayed. They've dedicated their lives to ruining shit and my passing interest just can't compete. I'm not going to spend a year infiltrating the review boards and making alliances and blackmailing people to gain influence - but they will.
But people still got paid to organize and run it.
And they won't be fired.
In fact, it will be used as evidence of "look how much more work we still need to do!"
The carrot did not work, so they'll try the stick next.
