Its the same reason cancel culture exists. They get joy and thrills from pulling people down. Its why the "punching up" concept even exists, because they want to pull anyone they consider above them down to the ground.
And because Leftism is built on victim complexes, they all consider themselves on the bottom and thereby anyone who is slightly critical of them (or doing better than them in any way really) is "up" and thereby fair game for pulling down.
But they are also weak and cowardly, so they need someone else to lead the charge and rile them into a mob to do it, as well as to shoulder the responsibility if it fails. So they fester in these little pits, chronicling every little aggression so its ready for the spark to light it off for them.
I would add that they're basically bonding among themselves when they share their misery online. It helps form their hugboxes.
Because their entire modus operandi is to infiltrate, subvert, and change all aspects of culture to fit into their vision of what the world should be. Or just outright destroy them, it serves the same purpose. They do this all under the guise of being "fans" who are just pointing out things that are "problematic" and should be addressed to better match "current year societal values." When the truth is their fanatics to a cult rooting out all things they and their masters deem as heretical.
Part of it, I think, is he was an Obamatard and full girl power just a few years ago. Until something shoved a huge red pill up his ass and woke him up. (Heard it was a relationship that took him left and ending it slingshot him to current. ) So the leftards feel betrayed he woke up and left the fold.

Every day at a scheduled time, everybody in the communist party has to watch a two minute propaganda video featuring the hated enemy Emmanuel Goldstein and gets mad about it. I think it's because something that goes against their dogma can't be allowed to exist in its 'problematic' form. They'll seek to either destroy it outright, or infiltrate and subvert it until it's no longer the thing it once was.
Being outraged and demanding things change is their hobby. The actual thing they're outraged about isn't relevant. If everything in their sphere was perfect, they'd be driven to find something to be upset about. It's why appeasing activists is a losing proposition. They literally can't be appeased.
Leftists need all world view to be the same as theirs. With some leeway for non white people. Trannies is the most egregious.. a man can be a woman is more ridiculous than proclaiming kim jung un as god. But it seems most places seem to go out of their way to appease them either to not invite trouble or totally brainwashed.
