Yep. I think he figured out that his recent drop in popularity is directly tied to his previous political activism. Now the studio executives just need to learn this lesson if they don't want to burn Hollywood to the ground completely. I won't hold my breath for that happening though.
Apparently he produced a movie that's about to come out or just came out and he doesn't want it to flop. So he'll say whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear.
The Rock always has movies in production. He produces movies just by breathing. This is a more long-term decision based on what his agency is seeing. I guess there's at least one person in Hollywood that still cares about money instead of making children more vulnerable to molestation?
