The faggot International organisations: "see how much support there is for gays in Japan! Soon they'll even love trans too!"
The Japanese people: "....where's my fucking rising sun flag and hurry up weaponizing the Gundam!"
I only partially joke as there was that anti immigration rally that had A LOT of imperial Japan flags. I think they actually run the risk of Japan going 'fuck it' at a population level as unlike Germany, they have NO GUILT of WW2 as they just don't acknowledge it (also helped that America paid them off and gave full amnesty for UNIT 731 research).
Combined with a more powerful South Korea in terms of weapon manufacturer and exports seeking more cooperation against North Korea and Chinese aggression, they could easily if push came to shove, isolate themselves to Asia alone.
Its not true that they don't have guilt over ww2 or that they don't acknowledge it. Its more that they don't agree with the specifics of it. . it would be more like if Germany claimed "no we didn't kill 6 million jews we only killed 2 million". Japan doesn't deny outright they just argue about the specifics but this is counted as "denying " to the woke.
I say deny in the way the left try to manipulate the Japanese like they did with Germany. They can't get guilt tripped the sane way as they always have the counterpoint "you dropped the sun on us...twice!"
So far this seems to be why even though they have the foot on the kneck of the legislature, the population is still heavily against it all, from gay marriage to mass immigration. Which means we just need to pull the plug on the finances of those applying the pressure than do a culture change like in Europe and largely blue areas of America.
It's a weird subject. The Japanese are scared of having their own army and navy because of what they became during world war II. They make sure to talk about that.
On the other hand, several of the Tigers don't talk about last century in their history books or classes because of how insane it got. China had children fighting with guns in the streets for mao, and Japan had the beheading competition.
Japan was ruled by their shogunate military class and bushido values for nearly a thousand years and now they are scared of having a military i WOULD consider that a rejection of what they should be
Oversimplification amd romanticization of the samurai class. The Edo period under Tokugawa was hundreds of years of relative peace after the unification, and the restoration of the empire in the meiji period saw the abolishment of the samurai class in the 19th century. Prior to Edo, they had a very brutal warring states era that devastated their country. The samurai were not the whole of japanese culture in that era, they were the tools of the feudal lords and were feared by the general populace.
Not sure how its "romanticizing " to say the facts that the military class ruled for nearly a thousand years. i didn't say that their leadership was necessarily good(though i do think being ruled by a military class is better than being ruled by merchants and bankers like today) but i do say that Japan was a militaristic country for a large junk of their history and them completely rejecting this is completely backwards and rejecting a large junk of what their heritage is
Only a very vocal minority actually support them here, what makes these retards think that all of Japan woke up one morning and were like “yeah, I want people to flaunt sex gear and groom kids in the month of June”
That's basically EVERYWHERE, if the normies in the west were ACTUALLY vocal, they'd drown out the degenerates with a collective 'go near our kids, get thrown into the chipper!'
exactly. but this faggot Oliver Jia has been lying and trying to tell everyone that "this is totally normal for Japanese and not being pushed by activists at all"
he is half-Lebanese American-Canadian, half Chinese apparently https://archive.md/m7Pwx but he likes to talk like he's Japanese and act like he speaks for them
Yes I read it as half Lebanese half Chinese who holds dual-citizenship in America and Canada and has no business being in Japan. But rootless globalists gonna global.
Japan's constitution isn't even written by Japanese people.....And you know how in America its conservatives that defend the American constitution? well that's not how it is in Japan, in Japan its the communists that defend Japan's constitution that was written by America after ww2. That should tell you something
There's actually a really, really good essay on the attitudes of homosexuality and anime that's extremely self-aware in a way that's almost refreshing.
...it's also seven fucking years old, so that might explain it. The past really is another country.
TLDR, it goes into elaborating how Japanese society, despite being very conservative(in the old sense of the term) in alot of ways can have a specific tolerance of homosexuality in things such as anime and manga;
The short answer is that anime reflects the tolerant attitude that a society can have towards what Fred Reed referred to as “baroque sexualities” when they represent no threat to the prevailing heterosexual order. This, in turn, reflects the tolerant attitude that can be had towards any minority – whether it be a lifestyle minority, an ethnic minority, a religious minority, or a political minority – when it is below a certain level of prominence in that society.
Overall, the essay is a good rebuttal to disingenuous faggots trying to shoehorn gay stuff in as 'regular and normal'.

Bushido is fairly new. The honorable era was early shogunate, and did not last during the civil war period and other wars.

Never heard of such a last name. It would be very uncommon because jia has the same sound as fake in chinese so it would have negative connotations
I assume it's 賈, which is a normal last name, it's also often used as pun names in fictions because it sounds the same as fake
Ah over here we write that as Chia in english not jia
Homosexuality is a disease that spreads other diseases.

Canada's court ruled on gay marriage in 2002, even the US did it almost 10 yrs ago.
If it was so popular why didn't a politician campaign on legalizing it and win years ago?
Otoya Yamaguchi's spirit needs to rise again
I don't care about .jpg twitter drama from a handshake account. Fuck off.
One day, you will realize you are fighting a losing battle.
