Quisling ponce. More proof that the GOP have been a litter of yippy little purse dogs hanging off arm of the DNC for decades. And Li'l Marco is the one wearing the rhinestone collar.
This is actually a pretty measured and realistic take if you ignore OP's editorializing. Neither side can win, so a negotiated settlement of some kind is inevitable, and military aid is needed to improve your negotiating position. Everyone here seems to just be responding to the BS headline instead of taking the arduous journey of listening to a 2 minute video.
Sounds like Vietnam. The Americans wanted to create a North-South demarcation line like we had in Korea. Totally reasonable to send young American men to the meatgrinder for as long as it takes to secure a victory that isn't ever going to happen.
You got me to listen to the video and it's worse than OP makes it. He starts off with the establishment lie that Putin's goal was to take over all of Ukraine. So he's not backed down on that at all, he just knows it's no longer possible to trick the American public for infinite MIC dollars.
The real Freudian slip is at 1:07 "Whatever's left over of Ukraine, [Putin] wants it to be a country that is forced to remain neutral..."
NO SHIT
Then he continues on "...in his orbit and sphere of influence." which is what he meant to say, though what he's thinking is likely "outside America's sphere of influence".
> the establishment lie that Putin's goal was to take over all of Ukraine
Are you clowns still pulling the "kiev was a feint" card? Have you never seen any russian state media? Did you fall asleep during putin's hour long manifest destiny lecture to tucker carlson?
I don't see how you could possibly think this unless you had just woken up from a coma.
The establishment lie was that Russia invaded Ukraine to take over and install a puppet state, and if successful they'd possibly move on to other NATO countries. I have no doubt Russia would love to topple the government in Kiev and end the war that way if they could, but the main goal was always securing the eastern regions and Crimea.
And yes I did fall asleep during Putin's lecture but I'm not sure what that has to do with this.
Russia doesn’t want to take over Europe. They’d rather sell Europe natural gas and other resources. Why do you imagine they want to take over Europe so badly? There was nothing “manifest destiny” in Putin’s interview with Carlson. Literally the opposite. He stated that Russia has all the resources it needs. Like, look at a map; Europe is a blip compared to Russia, and they have no resources. As we speak the german economy and industrial base is withering on the vine without Russian natural gas, whereas Russia’s economy is performing better than any western country even with sanctions in place.
The hysteria that people like you have when it comes to Putin is frankly childish. The world is not a movie, he’s not a comic book villain. Calm the hell down and look at the situation objectively.
Why should anyone outside of Ukraine give a fuck what happens there? I do care that money I'm forced to pay is being used for this shit, but that's as far as my concerns go.
I actually have a better question for you. How is this any different from the war in Iraq? Same bullshit money laundering, different fucking day.
lol you are actually delusional. I haven’t been cornered and you haven’t demonstrated that I hold any false beliefs at all. Can you try to engage with reality instead of whatever script you have in your head?
Can you take a step back and think about how unhinged your comment looks? Two more weeks and what will be over? The war? Who ever claimed that? And why would you assume I think that? And what am I or would I be worrying about? Are you on crack?
Because you said "Have you been paying attention? The Ukrainians are getting a new asshole stomped into them as we speak." in response to "neither side can win". Given the plain meaning of words, you think russia can win and is winning right now. I pointed out the absurdity of this, which I think you know. The "two weeks" portion is a popular meme around bullshit political predictions - "two weeks to flatten the curve", "two weeks till trump overturns the election", "big announcement from q in 2 weeks", etc. Basically, I'm saying "if you think russia is winning, ok let's see them win".
But russia can't win, and you know this. That's why you got mad and frothed when I pointed out the absurdity it.
Thanks, Li'l Marco, now... how many times did ya vote "yes" to giving them money?
what leverage?
you just admitted they never had jack or shit.
Because the US instigated it to keep the graft going. He wasn't shy, he was complicit.
That's giving him too much credit. Idiot probably thought they'd win like all the other morons.
Leverage over what, the US taxpayer? What a faggot.
Clearly, he received his payout.

We need a real opposition party.
The traffic down the ratlines is picking up. Prepare for even more mealymouthed excuses when the dollar spigot gets shut off.

So in your scenario where putin topples the government in kiev, what's his next step?

Answer the question. Putin topples the government in kiev. If he's not going to install a puppet, what does he do?
Better question: why should I give a single solitary fuck what happens in motherfucking Ukraine either goddamn way?
You seemed to care a lot, right before you got cornered by your obviously false beliefs.
Why should anyone outside of Ukraine give a fuck what happens there? I do care that money I'm forced to pay is being used for this shit, but that's as far as my concerns go.
